    My family has owned an Aquarobic Septic System for about forty years. The best way I can describe it is "mechanically fragile". Every year, something breaks.The pump to the tile bed has been replaced three times, with a greater horsepower each time. The compressor seized up every year, due to galvic corrosion between the steel cover, zinc impeller, and aluminum housing.Putting the compressor down in the tank made matters worse.The person who held the Aquarobic service contract "fixed" the problem by putting a pipe wrench on the motor shaft.They broke off the cooling fins, scored the shaft, bent it, and eventually destroyed the bearings.The external electrical components were housed in ABS boxes and conduits. These deteriorated due to UV and cracked. First water got in, and then mice.This resulted in rusting, short-circuits, electrocutions, and a small fire.The internal copper wiring corroded, due to enviroment within the septic tank. The floats that measured fluid levels repeatedly failed and had to be replaced. I've lost count of how many times.The bubbler, which pumps air through the effluent to break it down, also failed several times.In short, virtually every mechanical or electrical component failed, over and over again.Four years ago, I made the mistake of letting Aquarobics Canada, through one of their local service agents, rebuild the system completely.All electrical and mechanically components were replaced. The idea was that this rebuilt system would incorporate everything they had learned since the originally system was installed.It has failed again, and their no longer service their product in my area.Do not buy ! One star only because zero was not offered.
