      Proactive Movers sent a team of 3 men to move my 2 bedroom condo in Brampton to a new house in a town 1.5 hours away.
      The team talked in their own language but they didn’t know that my husband understands it. They basically said amongst each other that they don’t need to move fast.
      My husband left to go to work and they proceeded to take breaks between every load and just sat in the back of their truck for 15 minutes at a time. ** ***** ************** ********* **** **** ***** **** ****** **** *** ****** **** ****. It was the longest move-out of a 2 bedroom in my building’s history.
      In addition, they took an extra hour to drive to the destination. They ended up charging me 2 hours extra than their original estimate and I had to pay on the spot or they wouldn’t have unloaded my belongings. Their office was made aware of this but they have refused to offer a refund of the extra time that shouldn’t have been taken.

      We have reviewed the details you provided and spoken with the moving team assigned to your relocation. While our teams are instructed to take short breaks during longer jobs for safety and performance reasons, we understand your concerns about the frequency and length of these breaks. We are also aware that there was commentary overheard that gave the impression of intentional delay. Please know this does not align with our values or expectations of professionalism, and we are addressing this matter internally.

      Regarding the additional time and charges, our estimates are based on average moving durations but can vary depending on access points, loading conditions, traffic, and other unforeseen factors. Our policy requires that payment be completed prior to unloading to ensure a smooth process and protect both our staff and customer property. That said, we understand your frustration with how this was handled and that the extended time came as a surprise.

      We acknowledge your disappointment and regret that our resolution did not meet your expectations We would like to confirm that the refund has already been successfully issued to you.
