      Have a Savaria elevator and they refuse to service it. I bought a home free and clear title with the elevator in it, and it has issues. The installing dealer refuses to service it. The home was built and I took possession of it with clear title and builder attestation of paying off all vendors....yet he evidently did not pay a portion to the dealer. That is between the dealer and the builder. Additionally, the elevator never received proper inspection that would have been sufficient for a Certificate of Occupancy as they had made assurances the required phone line was working, when in reality it never was even wired. The automatic gate wheel channel was cut to assemble it when that should never have been done, and the dealer inappropriately to get the automatic gate to close used an angle grinder or some other tool to alter the gate bracket to defeat safety mechanisms and weaken the structural integrity of the gate mechanism. It failed entirely once, so they zip tied the bracket so it would not come off when closing or opening from the magnet, but when that failed completely, it broke a wheel so they cut the zip tie, which is still in the shaft today sitting cut. It has been since July before 1 year was up from possession and within the 3 year warranty, yet Savaria washes their hands and defers to the dealer to fix it, who will not. I do not owe anyone money for this, and it was never installed right to begin with. Yet I suffer from the results. This is * ******* *** ****** * ******* *** ** a completely and easily remedied situation to fix it by sending another dealer as warranty to ensure this is not a safety ******. Right now, I can't even turn it off to make it safe and the elevator went past the upper limiter sensor and is hopelessly stuck there and needs a real technician to fix it. ************* **** ******** ******** ** *** ***** ***** ** *** ****** **** ****** *******

      As you know the issue is not straightforward. We supplied the elevator as the manufacturer and have no contractual agreement directly with you. The local dealer has not been paid due to issues between them and the local builder. Resolution to this issue needs to be done at the local level as this is now a payment dispute between other parties.

      Savaria ** * *** ******* ** **** **** ** **** provide no customer support, you are referred to an authorized dealer who may or may not have the expertise/training to fix your problem. Call back times are lengthy, installs take a year or more- Savaria does not provide any installation service.
      In other words, you buy from a *** ** ***** dealer like the one i had from **********, Tn, and then you're on your own. And, forget modifications- they come as they are, take it or leave it; expect to pay US$ 24-30k for a basic unit.

      Mr ****** has an outstanding invoice with the local dealer. The installation took place during Covid and we've been advised that both the client and the dealer had delays due to illness. Due to the nature of what we sell, we do not provide technical support to end clients, or to unauthorized dealers. Savaria has been in touch directly with Mr ****** to explain this. We are happy to work with Mr ****** and the dealer to assist, but there must be an agreement for payment.

      I'm having the same problem the installers have to follow the instructions of the Savaria and even with the repair person explains to the Savaria Rep that this repair was done before they are told to do it that's the problem! I'm starting to think that Savaria is refusing to put any extra money or time into their ptoducts.
      I spent well over $30,000 on this lift and it may work a day or two after the repair! The repairman was told to replace the up contacts after the repair it goes up GREAT now the lift trips out going down!
      I have an enclosed unit and if the board trips out your trapped! ****** ** ******* ** ******* ** *** *** *** *** ***** ** *** **** ********** ** ****** *** **** ****** I'll give Savaria one more time to fix this lift ****** * ***** * ***** *** ****** This problem started in June of 2023 or a week after it was installed.
      A reset button needs to be installed into Saveria lifts specually if they are completely enclosed, but I wouldn't want to be sitting in a wheelchair 10 feet in the air when the board trips and no way to get the plateform down with out reseting the unit! ***** ****** * ******** **** ******* *** *****
