      In the summer of 2021, I purchased a new GE fridge through ******** ********* ****** and it was delivered and set up at my home. I registered the product immediately using the QR code. On April 07/2025 it was noted that the fridge was no longer keeping food cool. I called an appliance repair company for assessment and he advised that the compressor needed to be replaced and the part alone was 900 dollars and including labor it was 1400. I reached out to GE at [email protected] as well as by phone, and was told that my specific fridge was an energy saver model so that there was no additional warranty on the compressor. I reached out to a local appliance company to purchase a new fridge and was advised that fridges should have a 5-7 year warranty on compressor as it should not go on a fridge so new. The exact same fridge by ** carries a 7 year warranty on the compressor as a standard despite having a 1 year warranty on everything else. I have never heard of a fridge not having an additional warranty of at least 5 years on the compressor. The fact that this specific model does not have it tells me that the company knows that the compressor in this model is prone to failure and they should therefore not be selling it to unsuspecting customers. I now had to purchase an entirely new fridge after spending almost 2000 dollars on one less than 4 years ago. I requested escalation and a call from a manager yesterday and never received one.

      I purchased a washer from ******* Peterborough this product was backed by warranty from GE for one year the washer stopped working a month in GE sent a tech to come and look at the washer, when he arrived he said he’d order the parts and call me when there in but I could still use it. The machine motor caught fire so I called back he came over after 6 weeks of back and forth they replaced it they were great! Fast forward to January it stops working again call GE they send a tech which took approximately 6 weeks to get here okay fine they order parts I’m on 9 weeks of no fixed machine I’ve asked for my money back due to having a large family we depend on that machine I’ve missed countless days of work because they were coming to fix the machine and either didn’t show or canceled morning of, ***** ** **** ****** ******* *** *** **** ** ** ******* **** **** ******* **** ** *** ** *** ***** *** **** *** **** *** ***** ****** ** **** *** *** GE said the only way they’ll handle this is give me store credit for the furniture store it was purchased from why would I want to buy anything else from there ? So I asked for a direct refund as I’ve went out and got myself another washer has it’s been over 2 months without one they transfer you person to person the president of the consumer department has been close to no help but she understands apparently such a ****** situation for such a massive company *****

      July 31/2023 delivered, yesterday my freezer stopped working and a local repairman came and told me that the freezer compressor was gone. I did not get expended warranties as normally, I did not expect to have such a major problem over the year in use.I tried to reason with GE even to pay part of the repair but they refused ** ******* ** **** *** *** ********** ** **

      The issue was discussed with cst since this unit was out of the manufacture warranty at the moment of the claim. Ge offered to cover for repairs at some extent if he might be interested in the repairs but cst confirms defective unit is no longer available. Cst explained that *** ** ******** ******* he had to act quickly in order to minimize the losses he might have as the unit was not working. The Tech dispatched advised there was a defective compressor and the time frame for parts to arrive. Cst made the choice to replace the unit and not have the repairs.*** *** ** ********* ******** ************* Unfortunately we cannot provide with monetary compensation for an out of warranty unit that could be repaired.

      We purchased a washer dryer combo in Oct of 2020. The washer has had 4 repairs for the same issue since its purchase. It has flooded our basement floor 2x and is clearly a manufacturers issue. I have been in contact with ** head office and they paid for 1 repair through ***** appliance service. We ordered these through **** *** ******. They will not take accountability for the repairs. We have had no choice but to purchase a new pair of laundry machines, as the machine has flooded the floor again. Clearly this is a manufacturer defect and I would like GE to take accountability for this and refund us the purchase price of these machines. It is ridiculous that a machine has lasted for less than 4 years and I have had to fight to repair both the water and dryer. I cannot express the disappointment regarding this purchase. The cheque provided to us accepting responsibility for the initial repair indicates that GE was aware of the defect. Due to the fact that the same issue has continued to happen it clearly means that this is something regarding manufacturing and not something we have done. The technicians from ***** on the fourth visit stated that the washer is definitely defective and that we should not continue to repair it, as the most we would get would be 6 months. He was bang on as the last fix was September of 2023. I can produce all emails with GE and *** ** for the repairs and the amounts we have had to pay. All I am asking is the return on the original purchase price.

      During our conversation today it was informed to ** about the situation with your GE washer and issues with leaking water.

      During the warranty period ** dispatched only one service call work order# ********** to address the issue reported back in 2022. We were also informed about same issues with the unit during January 2023 after the warranty period was already done, GE offered to cover the expenses  and reimburse you with the amount of $376.57 for a repair out of the warranty period.

      It was informed today your washer had another previous repair out of warranty during September 2023,the unit was repaired but not reported to GE for support at the time. As per your confirmation today your washer failed last week again but the decision made this time was to proceed to purchase a new unit.

      Appliances can fail at anytime and we as a company are doing our best to support our customers with no factory warranty or extended warranty protection, to evaluate any out of warranty case further it is required for the customer to provide a current diagnose from a certified tech. You have indicated there is no current diagnose to provide and you do not have the washer any longer.

      We had been generous to provide out of warranty support in the past for your washer, regretfully this time without any technicians report or the unit itself to validate the issues, we will not be able to provide further assistance.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      As we discussed over the phone, the premise of your response that I should have kept the washer that was leaking on my floor and pay another 380.00 dollars to have it assessed for the exact same issue, which was predicted by the repair man 6 months earlier, is ridiculous. If you note from the ******** emails ******** we have had issues with this washer since 2020 when it was first delivered. The subsequent repairs, from the onset, have not only cost us money out of pocket, but also caused damage to the floor in our basement. Repairs completed - 1 through ** warranty, one was Jan 16,2023, again Sept 11, 2023 and the final leak on Jan 2024 were all due to the same issue. I am not asking for the amount currently 1 repair, the cost of the machines and damage to the subsequent area as a result. I am simply asking for the purchase price of the machines of 1300.00. GE did take care of the first cost under warranty and the second by me contacting and reaching Maria. The other cost of 398.34 was out of pocket.       Thank you for your response,

      As informed during our last communication , the washer in question is not available any longer in order for GE to re-evaluate the situation further, it is required for any appliance out of warranty where customer is looking for assistance from the manufacturer to either present a current tech report or at least to have the unit available in the event GE decides we can dispatch a certifed tech to inspect the unit as a concession service.

      In this case neither the unit is available any longer or a current diagnose was provided to GE prior to replacing the unit.

      Regretfully without this information or the unit available for diagnose, we will not be able to provide an offer or support with repairs.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      ** ** ********** **** ***** * ***** ** *** **** ***** *** ******** ** ** **** *** ******* ******* As stated before it has caused damage to the surrounding area and the leak was in exactly the same place as the 3 other times that it occurred. I had to pay out of pocket for the third repair because when I contacted your organization I got the run around just as I am now. Your company told me they were no longer going to assist us in repairs so why would I have contacted you for the 4th repair? Each service call is over 200. If the previous repair man had told us that it was fixable we wouldn’t have had to have him back 3 times. On the 3rd repair he tried to convince us not to repair it and purchase a different machine. We did not have the money to do so, the 400 repair was better than the 2000 we have had to pay out 6 months later as predicts by the service man. ** *** *** *** **** **** ** *** *** *** ****** ** ** **** ** **** **************

      We appreciate your feedback regarind our previous response.

      We understand the inconvenience of having to repair a washer multiple times, the purpose of our warranty is to offer support within the first 2 years since purchase according to your model. After the warranty has concluded the customer is responsible for any repairs required on the unit. GE has demostrated interest in supporting our out of warranty customer by authorizing a full reinbursement for the out of warranty service required during January 2023.

      GE has no record of any reports made by the customer after January 2023, no records of support required from the manufacturing. As you can undertand if assistance is required out of warranty , the manufacter will required a technicians report to evaluate the unit and provide assitance.

      Regretfully we will not be able to assist without the actual washer for an assessement, as informed the unit is no longer in your posession and way past warranty.

      Regretfully our response remains the same, without a formal and valid technicians report to evaluate the current situation on an out of warranty unit, GE is unable to provide further assistance, if in fact there was a service during September 2023 as informed within this communication ,it was not communicated to GE at the time in order to evaluate and provide assistance.

      At this moment your washer is out of the manufacturers warranty since October 2022 and the unit is no longer in your possession to evaluate the current status of the washer.

      On January 17 2022 i bought a dishwasher from **** *****. The dishwasher did not clean our dishes. It made them dirtier, leaving specks all over the inside of the glasses and plates. This was an almost daily occurrence. We experimented with different things, re read the manual but things were just not improving, i noticed the spray arms jets were clogging. I have owned a few other dishwashers before so i know how they are supposed to perform and i also know my responsibilities, i dont *********** throw things into it. I organize it with adequate spacing and make sure solids go in the garbage, check and clean the filter, but it didnt make a difference. I really wanted to make it clean as i was reluctant to go through the ******* hassle of unscrewing everything and moving it. In the end i had no choice but to remove it and buy a replacement. I brought it back to **** ***** who wouldnt take it back because it was past 30 days. So i loaded it back into the van and brought it **** where i stored it in the garage cuz it doesnt clean so i have no use for it and i already know a technician cant fix it. I call GE to make a warranty claim to get my money back, they send out a tech, tech says the parts work but can see it doesnt clean well and suggested the standard thing he needs to tell me, but hes not telling me anything new, ive already tried for months to try those things to make it work. I call GE to follow up, the tech report says all components work, which they do. The problem is i bought a GE dishwasher that doesnt do what it says it is supposed to do, clean dishes. I asked to speak to a manager who said the warranty only covers parts not customer satisfaction. ** **** *** ****** ** ***** ***** ** **** *** ***** ****** ***** ********  Your equipment did not do what you claim it to do..***** ***** ** **** **** ** ***** *********** ********* * ****** *** have to poke a paperclip into the nozzle holes after each load, an obvious defect of the filter.
