      After power lines went down due to a windstorm Pat the owner of Hanks and his wife showed up at my house and after showing me the damage offered to restore the power and that it would cost between $500 to $1000. I agreed hoping for closer to $500. A month later he sent me a bill for $1849. I called to dispute the bill and was told Pat was away on vacation. I advised I would only pay the amount agreed to plus tax. I called several times and always been told he is away on vacation he will call me when he gets back. Then I got a collections call. I explained I paid the amount agreed to and would not pay anything more as it is a scam. I was told I was going to reported to the credit bureau. I called Hanks again and once
      more he is away on vacation. Clearly avoiding me. I have witnesses to the quote of $500 to $1000 including my family who was here, my neighbours, my insurance company who I called same day to see if they would cover the $500 to $1000. Hanks is holding me ******* by *********** to report to credit bureau unless I give them what they want. **** ****** ** ********* *** ****** ** **** ****** ** **** ** ****. I always pay my bills, pay them on time and dont't apreciate Hanks trying to *** me.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Hanks advised me they would remove the collections.  I checked with ******* and was told that it has not been removed.  The company has to let ******* know that the amount was not owing and it was an error. 

      The owner of Hanks quoted me $500 to $1000.  I paid $1,150 within 30 days of the invoice

      Hanks ruined my good credit record and I can also lose my job because of it.

      Hanks has to remove the collection from *******, showing that it was an error on their part as I did nothing wrong I paid what the agreement between the owner of Hanks and me when he showed up at my house offering to install the damaged electric wire on my roof.

      The customer has been notified by phone that the ** ****** Collection agency has closed the
      file. The customer has agreed with me that she is to remove the complaint off BBB and our
      Google page. This is still pending on Claudia's part. Today, the situation is out of Hank's
      Electric's hands, and we are waiting for ******* to remove the flag on her credit.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have followed up with ******* on a daily basis.  As of today ******* still has not received any request to remove the collection, either from ** ****** or from Hanks.  There is a collection in the amount of $719 showing as outstanding since June 2, 2022. 

      I do not owe anything because I paid the full amount that I was quoted within 30 days of the invoice, I paid $1000 plus tax total $1150.

      Because of Hanks sending me for a collection that I do not owe, my credit is ruined for 7 years.  I am not able to get a mortgage and I risk losing my job because good credit is a condition of my job. 

      Until the collection is off my record with  ******* I can not remove my complaint or google review.

      Perhaps Hanks can issue me a letter of apology admitting their error on trying to collect something that was not owing.  I could send that letter to 

      ******* to see if the collection comes off the record.
