      I bought a hot tub cover from The Cover Guy three years ago, and it’s already full of mold and rot. The foam inside is soaked, the vapor barrier completely failed, and there’s rust on the internal supports — all signs of poor construction and cheap materials. I always left the cover off after adding chemicals and followed all care instructions.
      When I contacted them, they dismissed it as “chemical damage,” which is ridiculous. A hot tub cover is supposed to withstand hot tub chemicals — that’s its entire purpose.
      The real issue is their poor-quality vapor barrier that let moisture in and ruined the foam from the inside. But they take no responsibility. Their so-called warranty is useless, and their customer service is even worse.
      I’ll be rebuilding this myself because their product didn’t even make it halfway through a reasonable lifespan. I wouldn’t recommend The Cover Guy to anyone. ***** **** ***** **********

      They sent three covers to us. ALL wrong. Hooks in wrong place, misaligned. My measurements and instructions were precise and they admitted their mistake and sent a new one. They made the same error. The final one had the straps n the correct side but not in right spot and plate for the lifter was missing. Will never order again.

      I purchased a cover in November. It arrived, I installed it and 2 days layer we had rain. One side was sagging so horribly the water just pooled on that half and flowed to the center seam. I took photos and reached out. This was done within 1 week of receiving this defective item. I’ve gone around and around with customer service for a few weeks now and have been told I need to send a photo of a warranty tag. There’s absolutely no tag anywhere on this cover. I haven’t removed anything, and it’s brand spanking new! Because I can’t provide the photo of the tag there’s no warranty as implied on their website. ***** ****** ** **** **** ******** ***  $600 later for a piece of junk that’ll never hold up to rain or snow. ***** ** *** ******

      The company makes subpar covers that have short life spans. They blame issues with their spa covers on their customers by saying they used too much chemicals. ***** *** ******* ** ******** ***** **** ****** **** ***** **** ****** My cover lasted 1 1/2 years. The plastic bag inside the cover came apart at the seam and the metal strip is rusting. They blamed too much chemicals but the other bag in the other half is not coming apart. The sides were in the same environment and one failed. That’s a manufacturing issue since they were both exposed to the same “chemicals”. **** ****** **** *** **** ****** Their warranty has zero value.

      * ******* **** ** * ***** I ordered a hot tub cover two weeks later I get an email saying that I owe them 213 more dollars to get my hot tub cover, because their website screwed up. I explained to them I have a receipt I’ve already paid for it. This was what our agreement was. I also told them that I had bought hot tub covers from them previously to no avail. All they wanted was their money. That in my opinion was not due to them.       Ordered a new cover 1.5 yrs ago and is taking on water all of a sudden also one of the grommets on the underside of the cover is missing. When I inquired about getting a repair done after sending all required pics they replied with….cutting a slit in the cover to allow water to drain……also if I told them I have a waterfall feature they would have never built me a cover as it’s a common issue apparently……no one asked me about a water feature while inquiring about a new cover…….needless to say the 7 yr Warrenty is not going to help neither is this company.

      Received cover and they made an error on the direction of fold. Can’t use it as I have obstacles in the way. I contacted them and they requested pictures and tag number and now they have ghosted me. Been 3 weeks now I have not heard from them after countless emails and phone call attempts. There web site says 100% customer satisfaction is completely not true.

      Bought a new cover less than a year ago for $700...one panel started taking on moisture and sagging. After battling with their Customer Service for quite some time, they eventually sent a new one. Here we are a few months later and the other panel is doing the same thing and needs to be replaced. Customer Service difficult to deal with, they say they get back to you within 5 days but its been weeks with no resolve. They even accused me of sending old pics for the current issue, ********* ******* ** * **** even though the pics are date stamped.

      ***** **** * ***** ** ****** *** ******* I ordered a cover on 11/9/22 and today is 1/12/23 and I still don’t have a cover they won’t talk to me unless I leave multiple voicemails and then they say that they have to talk to another department and they will call me back (I don’t get a call back they instead email to reply to a phone call) they sent a email today saying they reordered the cover but gave no time frame for delivery and if we are looking at waiting 3 more months I would prefer a refund
