    We contacted AMR Motors to look at a truck they had on their lot. Due to us being several hours away and trucks being hard to find we sent them a deposit of $500 which was completely refundable until paperwork was signed. This deposit was sent on September 15th and we were going to go look at the truck the following Thursday September 22nd.

    Leading up to going down, the Monday before I had asked if there was a way we could have the truck ready for pickup because I did not want to have to wait for the truck to pass safety. In the ad the truck came with a free safety.

    Moshin, the salesperson we were dealing with, told us that he would have the safety done when we provided proof of insurance. That way he would know we were serious about the truck and would not waste his time getting it safetied without a sale. **** *** ********** ***************

    On Tuesday he called asking for the proof of insurance, *** * **** * *** ** **** ** ** ******* *** *** ******** ****. We had not provided proof of insurance because there was no proof and we had not decided we wanted to truck completely.

    We thought we knew they wouldn't do the safety or have anything done until the proof of insurance and were prepared to have to wait a few days for pickup if we delayed. We also knew that if ** ******* had found another truck in that time before proof of insurance or any paperwork was signed that the deposit was completely refundable.

    However, when I called the Wednesday morning as soon as they opened, to let them know we would not be going ahead with the truck and they could refund the deposit, Moshin told me that would not be happening. He said *** **** ****** they had gotten the safety done. I asked why this happened because I had not signed paperwork or given proof of insurance. He went said he would talk to his manager.

    It has been days and no response. I told them I would escalate the issue. **** ** ****** I am owed that 500$ back.
