    I purchased a set of used snow tires for my vehicle from The "Tire Guyz" in Cambridge, in December 2024.
    I had a tire go flat on the 400 highway on my way home from Parry Sound in a snow storm in February. When I took it back, they blamed me for driving over something that caused the damage. An entire strip of rubber was missing down to the metals cords beneath.
    I disputed their claim, but they did not admit any wrong doing.
    Then March 9th, I noted a black piece of rubber fly off from the front of my car, while driving on the 401 en route home from Kingston. Again, there was an entire 4cm x 4cm strip of tread missing down to the metal cords beneath. Fortunately, in both cases, I maintained control of the car. On the more recent incident, I had *** assist with putting on my spare tire. The service fellow showed me how to check the manufacturing date => 26th week of 2009
    They sold me tires that were over 15 years old!
    When I returned to the shop this past week, they offered no apology and took no responsibility, saying "we don't check the dates of the tires we obtain for resale". They then wanted to sell me low budget new tires, with me paying the balance from the price of the original tires.
    I declined, and adamantly insisted on my original money being refunded, which they did quite begrudgingly.
    MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS THAT THIS PRACTICE ENDANGERED MY LIFE TWICE
    and they showed NO accountability, indicating it may occur to someone else.
    This is absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE
