I contracted this company and owner ********************* to do all my bookkeeping for 2021. The results were not acceptable and my books a year later were left in a mess. **** was often unavailable and delayed communication with us for two to three weeks at a time because she was too busy. I expressed concern on the fact that I was finding mistakes in different accounts and repeat entries. At year end of 2021 she told me the year was finished and I could file my tax return based on the profit and loss statement. I was shocked to find a large portion of income was not entered and expenditures for the same item appeared in several accounts. **** had access to our bank account and for some reason many of the transactions were never posted. I hired a CPA to review the work and he found 600 of 1200 bank transactions that were never posted. On review it was evident that reconciliations were not done properly either. I dealt with other persons in the company who appeared to be subcontracted. I believe there was little or no oversight of the contracted work. When questioned **** always had a very long explanation of things but in the end it appears my concerns were confirmed. Despite this **** continued to bill me and denied any wrongdoing. I was forced to end our relationship and I have had to pay a more qualified CPA to redo my 2021 accounting.

In the summer of 2021 ***** solicited through a referral who we have served for 5 years and continue to work with. ****** reached out as she said her bookkeeper who was incompetent and wanted me to review and prepare her bookkeeping for 2020 and 2021 bookkeeping. We advised that we had no capacity and she insisted that she would work around our availability. We found out during the extensive clean up that this client had exported their QuickBooks desktop to QuickBooks online and that the end result was a very incohesive file. I advised ****** that in order to produce accurate financial statements we needed to reconcile the bank for previous years, we needed to eliminate the erroneous transactions. This was obvious as they had sales credit on their file since 2018 that were factoring incorrect A/R balances. ****** was against that approach since it was the more expensive of the options. We explained that meant we would never be fully confident in the statements and would require their review by her and her accountant. We did not finish 2021, we mutually agreed to end the relationship before that time. As far as 2020 goes, I sat down with ******, I sent statements and reports to ****** for her to review and advise if anything was missing as she was not consistent in her invoicing and paid a great deal of expenses through her personal credit line and credit cards. ****** never reviewed and we were not able to finish 2020. I explained scope many times during the process, ****** struggled to understand the value of a through reconciliation process and did not allow me the autonomy to finish my job as a professional certified bookkeeper. When I suggested I reach out to her accountant to review 2020 I was told she advised against it. It seemed to me that might be because ****** was complaisant in filing false records or alternatively she didn't understand her responsibilities as a business owner. We returned her records to her at our costs (courier). ****** did not pay her final invoice, I had to write it off. We stopped working together 9 months ago. ****** ******** me on social media recently on February 11th, I blocked her from messaging me on ******** and now she is filing with the BBB.
