    Oct11/22 met Owner of Dr Home HD discussed bathroom renos, got estimate $4520 includes work/mess to be completed in 1 week from start date Nov1/22. I e-transferred 10% to retain services.
    Sunday Oct30/22 he called hoping to start but we agreed he'd start Oct31/22.
    Monday no show nor contact, I tried texting to no avail. ******* Tuesday Nov1 he arrived late, as he walked by with no explanation, I asked how I could trust him to do the job now, he gave a trivial excuse. ******* I let him begin and he gutted the bathroom leaving quite a mess in the hall, bsmt, stairs and driveway for me to clean.
    Nov2,3,4 he maybe did 3hrs total. His shop vac, not hooked up properly, blew dirt/dust in 2 bdrms & basement that I had to clean top to bottom. He brought a tub, left with it, came back hours later with another saying he'd be back Saturday AM, but again no show. 3rd*******!
    Mon Nov7 here between 915+6pm, continuously leaving thru the day giving odd excuses & only working maybe 1 1/2 hours. I told him clearly I did not want him here past 5pm, the household is too busy.
    Tuesday Nov8 came after 10am, again in and out all day not accomplishing much. Back 430 and here until 740pm. Reminded him again no work past 5pm which surprised him as most of his clients prefer late nights.
    Wed Nov9 here 215 for 20 mins, painted, left so it could dry, back at 5, left 720 very late again!
    Thurs Nov10 promised 915 start but came 1110 worked about 2 hrs, back 710 & gone 8pm. Reminded him again of no work after 5 maybe 6 if needed!
    Fri Nov11 showed up 530, 1 hr for touch-ups, said he'd be back Saturday but no show!
    Sun Nov13 showed up late to finish job. Tub surround would not stick he got 5 minute epoxy which worked. He handed me another bill for $780. I said I want to be sure all is functioning before pymt. He threatened me with a Lean on my house. Sink+shower both leak, vanity ruined, tub surround not holding, mismatched fixtures, caulking not holding, tub may be a liner very flimsy!

    The contractor, ******* *** ****, showed up at my house on August 16th, 2022 to start a baseboard/trim removal and installation. He asked 75% of the cost in advance before starting, however I told him that is not something normal but he mentioned that here is Canada! and that's my way of doing this. But whenever you are not happy with my job, I can return your money! I paid him $1200 out of $1650 and he started the job in a very poor quality. When I came to him after a while and asked him why you are doing such a poor job, he said: don't look at them right now, don't ever see any contractor's job until they finish their job because you think it is not the right way they are doing but you should be patient and see the output. He worked for me only two hours and mentioned that he has a blood sugar problem and he needs to go back home and will continue the job tomorrow! We had agreed to have the job done in 2-3 days maximum! he came the next day at 6:00pm and stayed one hour and left (he said my wife is calling me I should go back home!), these behaviours repeated more than 12 days, most of the days he did not show up and altogether he only showed up 2 other days, two hours each day from 8:00pm to 10:00 pm at night. Adding all the times he worked counts about 1 full day. I kept calling and texting him every day to see where he is but he ignored my calls. I texted him if he is not planning to show up, we are going to terminate the job but he mentioned that pay me another 150 dollars because I dont have money to pay for the fuel to be able to show up at your house!! Because he did not finish his job, I had to reschedule my painter job for more than 3 weeks in a row. Long story short, he took more than 12 days of our lives and only finished baseboard/trim installation in a most ugliest shape of 30-40% of the committed job. I asked him to send back $500 and terminate the job but he refused and threatened me to report me to the police!

    Every story has two sides fortunately mine is not a story this is the situation that happened. I was hired by the customer to install baseboards door casings and window casings the customer declined having me removed the old baseboards the nails and the silicone. So I kindly showed him what would be required to remove them for my work to proceed.

    Upon arrival two days later there was no Nails taken out the silicone was still there but all the baseboards had been removed  by the customer. The window casings in the door casings were still on! And instead of being able to get to work on the contracted work. I then had to countersink all the nails clean off all the silicone in the master bedroom with the customer constantly in my way.

    Only then was I able to start the baseboards, when I did the customer  was standing right by my saw why I'm trying to manoeuvre 14 ft pieces of baseboard. I kindly ask to move three times and when he finally did he just moved to the other side of the saw. In the doorway as I was trying to retrieve pieces from the hallway.

    This job was to be done at night times from 6 to 10, by the time it was 9 I had done a total of 1 hour on the contracted work.

    I've been told the customer that he would have to get all the nails out in the silicone out for tomorrow. Stating that he was going to have a long night.

    Upon arrival on the second day same situation nail still there silicone still on the walls. That day I was not going to be countersinking the nails are cleaning off the silicone for free. Before I could get started on the baseboards he started to pick  at the work, how the baseboards didn't cover the flooring because it wasn't thick enough how there was a shadow on the top of the baseboards and the walls because of course I wasn't finished and I had to put silicone on the top Edge! But that wasn't good enough for this customer I had to prove to him that it was going to look proper. He then had the audacity to ask me about the other contractor and pick away at his work for him. Whom was still working there at the time but wasn't there at that moment. Getting me to go into each and every room that he'd done that day before I arrived.

    Which I was going to have no part of!

    After another hour-and-a-half wasted on the second day.. I was finally able to start my contract. However this did not go smoothly either because once again he was in my way.

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

    All, I am not saying 99% but truly all of his responses are fake and made up, unbelievable that how easy he lies! He just made a story to justify his poor job quality, for not completing it and finally stealing my money. Its is funny that how rudely he is making these stories. The job was a complete job, removing old baseboards and trims, removing old nails and caulking and installing the new baseboards and trims, and finishing. Since I was in rush and scheduled for the next phase of renovations, I offered him that I can REMOVE the old baseboards/trims myself and he continue removing the nails and installing the new baseboards/trims. He should be thankful of me that I did part of his job and made his life so easy. All other part of his response are fake and made up. None of them was real, not even single character of it!

    I did not want to reveal his lies here, but since he keeps lying, and just as a simple example to prove that he is lying: in his response he mentioned that "it was a 6pm to 10pm job". Please see the attached photo of some of our messages (I just brought 3 texts here, but there 100s of text that he was apologizing or rejecting my calls, because he did not show up at the day time!).

    The photo clearly shows his texts to me, saying that he was not on-time and texting me in the DAY TIME (anytime before 6:pm apparently!). 
    This is just an example, I have more texts that prove other lies and as I mentioned before he made a fake story which was all fake and lies.
