In January 2025 I paid Raph (owner) in advanced for five 30 minute weekly drum ******s at his studio (Raphs School of Rock. The first ****** went well and I gave additional money to Raph so that I could have 45 minute ******s moving forward. This was made via email and I paid by *********. I did not sign any contract outlining anything other than him sending me an email that told me how much his ******s were and I paid him what he asked. As the weeks progressed, I became concerned as Raph was not professional he would cancel ******s that day, he spent the ******s discussing his personal issues, he appeared unfocused etc. When I needed to reschedule a ****** I provided Raph with 24 hours notice which was listed on his website. After having only two ******s, Raph requested via text if he could have the next five ******s paid for early. I thought this was odd as I only had two ******s and still had three more that were paid. I told him no. By ****** five which occurred on February 14 I paid him 170 dollars via etransfer prior to my ****** that day. When I arrived for my ******, Raph was late and appeared to be under the influence of a substance. During the ****** he told me that he has been high on cannabis for every ******. He was unable to stay focused and I felt completely uncomfortable and triggered being a woman in a room with a man who I barely knew. (And who admitted to being high). I dont care if someone is high but the lack of professionalism was noticeable. I left that ****** feeling awful and did not want to return. Initially I emailed *** and said I would no longer be taking ******s and he could keep what I had paid. Upon further reflection I realized that I deserve to be reimbursed for the five ******s that I paid for and did not use. I have tried to communicate my requests with Raph over the past week and he replied but said he did not have the money to refund me. I said he could have a payment plan but have not heard from him since
