In May 2022, I contracted Generation Electrical (GE) for work (see attachment 2022-05-20). A work order was provided (see Estimate)
Initially, I was satisfied with the work. Upon completion, I requested that the lights that had been installed be changed to a different colour., we agreed that the light could be replaced, that GE would buy the lights that had been installed, & I would pay any difference, & for the labour - - when this was not done, I did the replacement
Up to this point, the relationship with the company was positive. They left a box of their switches which I found, set aside & reported so they could pick them up.
Shortly after the work was completed, we had a power outage. During this outage, the generator did not automatically switch over. I placed a service call with the company that services my generator. They determined that the solenoid switch was melted due to improper wiring & had to be replaced. During further testing, they determined that the generator was no longer working. No cause was determined but the timing is suspect.
During the above, we discovered some circuits in the house that had been working & were no longer doing so
In November, I compiled a list of issues & suggested a course of action (see 2022-11-11). I provided this to the company.
After much to & fro, we agreed on what I would be paid for (2022-11-26)
An initial payment of 610.20 was made on Dec 12, with a promise that the rest would follow
When I followed up, GE began to make new demands, specifically for a receipt I am sure I have but seem to have misplaced. Since the receipt was not part of the deal of 2022-11-11, I just asked for that agreement to be adhered to
Things have now gotten very nasty. The president of the company has threatened to use personal influence with the police (2023-01-24), accused me of blackmail & engaged in other intimidation tactics (see- 2023-01-25)
