  • The business advertises free quotes through a
    request a quote form on their website. However, this form collects personal
    information, including names, email addresses, telephone numbers, and
    locations, without a corresponding privacy policy. Compliance with Canadian
    privacy laws, such as PIPEDA, mandates transparency regarding personal data
    collection, use, and safeguarding through a formal privacy policy.

   

  • BBB obtained a copy of a contract/estimate
    issued by Fawn Group Construction, detailing various project components,
    including design and planning, excavation, foundation, framing, and exterior
    finish. The estimate outlined a payment schedule, specifying deposits and
    payments due at different stages of the project. The estimate was dated and
    displayed both the business and the consumer's contact information, along with
    the business's GST/HST registration number

   

  Its important for consumers to carefully

  rights and interests. Moreover, verifying a contractor's licensure and bonding
  status in Ontario is recommended, ensuring compliance with relevant
