    In June 2024 I contacted **** ******** of Maple City Custom ***************************** to obtain a quote for a new front railing. **** came out on 18 June 2024 and gave us a quote of $4000 to replace the front railing and back steps of our home. He requested a 50% deposit and said the job could be completed within a week.The next day (19.06.24), **** texted saying hed made a slight mistake on his quote. The new price was $5000 and he required an additional $1000 deposit.On 17 July 2024, I texted **** to inquire re: the status of our job, (I hadnt heard anything from him in over a month). He replied the next day, stating that (a) he had fractured his foot, and (b) he had been sent the wrong materials and was waiting for the new order to arrive. On 15 August 2024, I left a vm for **** requesting an update. No response. I followed up with texts on 17 & 19 August, stating that if we didnt hear from him within a week, we would leave a detailed negative review on his website, contact the BBB, and file a suit with the Ontario Small Claims Court. He texted back, saying he would complete the job on the weekend (multiple excuses given). We agreed on Sept. 7th at 8am. **** didnt show and didnt contact me. He spoke on the phone with my husband, stating he didnt have the $. He promised to be in ******** husband went to ***** home on 19 Sept. to discuss a repayment plan. After inviting my husband into the driveway, **** proceeded to become defensive, shouting, swearing at and threatening to assault my husband (who remained in his vehicle throughout). **** texted me 16 times afterward, complaining and lying about what had happened since first contact. He promised to repay the $3000 deposit plus interest. I received $800 on 26 Sept. with a promise of more to come. Ive received nothing further. My last text to **** was on ********************************** be pursuing the matter through legal channels. I have had no response.*Note: I have supporting texts.

    NOne of this is true .  I did not invite him Into
    My driveway my driveway has a boat in it and my sons truck was there with my son inside it !   This man showed up unexpectedly and was yelling and screaming loudly with small kids walking by for school !  He then tried to get out of h is car to assault me .  This is when I started yelling back , they are liars

    I am rejecting this response because:

    1. Everything I said is the truth.

    2. Please check out the recent online reviews of this business. We are not the first victims of Chads unscrupulous ways; multiple others have stated that **** is a liar and that he has taken their $$ and not completed the work. Can ALL of Chads victims be liars?

    3. **** is a gaslighter and an expert deflector. He shifts the focus of the original narrative to make himself out to be the one who has been wronged. This is his modus operandi.

    4. Chads version of the interaction between himself and my husband is a total fabrication. My husband made no attempt to leave his own vehicle; in fact, **** was the one who whipped off his shirt and threatened to punch my husband in his fat f*cking head.

    5. The simple fact remains: **** still owes us $2200.00 plus interest. THAT is the issue at hand.
