    Complaint Summary:
    I am filing a complaint against Sunrise Window & Door Systems Inc. for failure to honour their publicly advertised Limited Lifetime Warranty on defective windows at my residence. The company has refused to provide warranty service, despite the fact that the windows were installed around 2020 and are clearly within the stated warranty period (including the 15-year transferable clause).

    Details:
    After noticing fogging and leaking on multiple windows, I contacted Sunrise Windows and was repeatedly passed from person to person. I eventually received a copy of a purchase invoice from 2019 (from the builder), which the company used to claim I was out of warranty — despite their own documentation stating warranty begins at installation.

    I have made repeated requests for documentation confirming their position and asked for the installation date. I have received no cooperation or response. * ****** * ****** ***** ****** ** **** ** ***** ********* ***** *********** *** ********* * **** ** ******** **** ******** *** *** *******

    The affected windows are valued at approx. $35,000. * **** **** * ****** ****** *** **** ******** ** ****** ***** ** ***********  Resolution Sought:
    I am requesting full warranty inspection, service, and repair or replacement of all defective windows — at no cost, as per the terms of the warranty.

    Sunrise supplied and installed the windows and doors in our house. One of the sliding doors has started to leak and cause damage to the house. The issue was initially difficult to trace, but it has now been definitely traced to the door. We contacted Sunrise to come out to look at the dorr and they initially denied supplying and installing the windows and doors for the house...which was a bit of a surprise since it was a very large job involved the supply and installation of 5 large custom sliding doors and 12 custom windows, including a glass curtain wall. Fabian O**** then tried to blame the installer, which was of course them, and refused to send someone to even look at the door because he said it was not their issue. I indicated that I would pay for the site visit, but they still refused to send anyone. *** ****** *** ********* *** ******** ***** *** **** ** ***** Richard C****** who was responsible for the job was MIA and never responded at all.

    As of yesterday, Sun.Apr.7.2024 - All remedial service work has been completed at * *** ****** ******* for the ******* **** residence. Sunrise has communicated with ******* directly and has confirmed work has been done ****** ** *** ***********. And moving forward, if any other issues happen regarding water leaks around our product in his home to contact Sunrise directly to have the issue resolved quickly.
