    I would like to launch a complaint about this plumbing company called Mason Plumbing Service located in Cooktown, Ontario ******* ****. ** ***** **** ******* ****** ** **** **** **** * *** **** ****** **** ******** in October/November. Mason the owner of the company came to our cottage located at ** ****** *** ******** ******. He gave us a quote to do our plumbing install (labour only) $8,500 inc HST. E transferred $3,000 as deposit in Nov 15 (he said he needed this to secure the job). ******* *** ** ***** ** *** ******** **** ** ********. We tried many times to reach him via email/texts/phone calls. He booked an appt to start the job but failed to show up ** ** ******* **** *** ********** *** *** *** ****** *** ** **** ******* ** ***** *** **** *** ******. He only returned one emails ** ********. No call backs or text return to us. We notified him that we wanted to cancel the job as he was unresponsive. He only installed a temp toilet and drilled couple of holes. *** ******** ********* We asked for the refund of our deposit back $3000 - 200 (temp toilet and pick up his piping left in house) = 2,800. He told us that his hourly rate is 150 per hour but he never advised us that was his rate. At the time when he came to drop off materials in Nov/December ** *** *** ** *** *******. He only stayed there for about 2 hours max. This company ** *** ** ** ******* *** never responded to any of my phone call or emails (except once when he apologized as soon as I cancelled the project because of his non responsiveness for the start up of the project. ******* ** ** ******* *** ******** *** ** ****** *** ******** *** *** ****** ** ***** ** ** ** ***** ** ** ****** ** ******** **** ** ****** *** ******** *** ***** ******* *** he got our money in November. Today is Jan 20, we still have no response or even close to settlement. We proposed to settle this for a refund of $2800 in a cheque format not e transfer. He can pick up his materials by coming to the cottage with a mutual appt.
