    ** **** *** I, ******** ********* inquired about the acceptance of US currency prior to our visit and were informed that it would be accepted, although change would be provided in Canadian dollars. We visited this establishment ** ********* ** ****** ********. Upon arrival, we detected an unpleasant odor, but decided to proceed. The elevator's noisy operation was also noted. After reaching the restaurant, we informed the waitress of our reservation, made the previous night. After initially stating our table was ready, she then asked us to wait. Following a ten-minute wait, we were seated at a table with unusually low seating, insufficient lighting for menu readability, and a damaged tabletop. We ordered drinks and appetizers, including shrimp, which my wife described as having an unpleasant aftertaste. I ordered a second shrimp dish. My wife's ravioli alfredo was deemed unsatisfactory due to undercooked chicken. When attempting to pay with US currency, as previously agreed, the waitress accepted it. However, upon our departure, the manager intervened, stating that US currency was not accepted and demanded payment equivalent to the Canadian dollar amount of the bill (CAD 215). We had tendered USD 170 (equivalent to approximately CAD 230). The manager insisted on an additional USD 44 to cover the discrepancy. **** ************ ** *** ******** ***************** *** ****** ******** ********** * ******** ****** ******* *********** **** ***************
