I am responsible for making tax payments to the CRA. During the past three years, at various times, I've used Paysimply.ca for that purpose. Recently, the credit card I used was showing that it was declined at Paysimply.ca I tried the same procedure more than several times during a two day period. Before assuming that Paysimply was the cause of the difficulty, I called two different phone numbers at the credit card company. In each instance, I was told that I had more than enough credit to complete the transaction. I was told that that the credit card company did not decline the card. In addition, I was told that there was no record of the credit card's being declined or that there was an attempt to use the card. ** ** ******** **** ** ******* ******* ** *** ************** * **** ******* ** *** ***** ** * ****** ** ******** ********** ******* * ** ** *** ***  Because of Paysimply's actions, I am unable to make a payment *** ****** ******  ** ***** ** ** ***** ********** * **** ** **** ******* *** ********* ************ ** **** *** ********* **** ** ********* **** *** ********* ****** **** **** ** ************ *** **** * *** ** ******

    Business Response

    Date: 10/01/2024

Customer made numerous attempts to make payments to the CRA via **** credit card on January 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th. All payments failed due to the customer failing 3ds verification send by the credit card company. 3ds verification is completed by answering security question from the customer bank/credit card profile. The customer is independently responsible for answering 3ds verification questions. To rectify this situation, **** would need to be contacted directly. PaySimply has no decision making if 3ds verification is passed or not. Due to 3ds verification failure, the credit card company would not have any record of an attempted transaction.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I contacted the credit card company on several occasions.

We called  two separate departments at the credit card company.

Each department maintained that the credit card holder (myself) had enough credit and that the card was not on hold.

Second, the credit card company maintained that if the card had been declined by the credit card issuer, there would have been a record of the credit card company's having decline the transactions.

According to a few representatives of the credit card company, there was no record that the attempted transactions' having been rejected.

The credit card company continues to blame paysimply.ca for problems encountered.

Paysimply got my money and it is supposed to send payment to ********* ********* on April 17. But May 30th now and the bill payment is still missing in my ********* ********* account. Paysimply initially said the missing bill payment investigation would be up to 14 business days. But the timeline already expired and now they will not offer any end date to resolve this. They have confirmed I entered the bill account number correctly so I didn't make any mistake. Also Paysimply kept telling me they got a partner in ********* ********* to do an investigation to delay the resolution. That was not true because I called ********* ********* and I got confirmed there was no partner for Paysimpy on their side. They didn't even know Paysimply. I also got a late fine from ********* ********* for not paying it on time. Paysimply is not trying to solve the problem for me - they should check their payment vendor to see if the money is paid. The payment transaction number: TransNo #************* They should send the payment to the ********* ******** to close the complaint.
