    I am looking to receive compensation for the wedding dress I purchased form Marilees Bridal on 10/16/2021, that I was unable to wear on my wedding day on 8/20/22. My original dress cost $1806.35. I was told by the sales women at the store my dress could be altered with no issues and the alterations would cost $508.50 for a grand total of $2314.85. My worry was in regards to the bodice of my dress. I wanted to ensure that the dress would still be wearable with the alterations and the straps of the dress uncrossed. I did confirm this with the store on Oct. 28th, 2021 to which I was told the straps could be worn in the original style I tried the dress on with, which was uncrossed. I had my dress altered on 3 separate occasions. I discussed the straps being uncrossed with the seamstress who confirmed there would be no issue and sewed them into placed uncrossed. The seamstress mentioned to me that it would be hard to keep the cups close to my body due to the structure of the dress.My wedding dress did not fit me once despite adding extra cups to the dress as well. I reached out to the store after the wedding to let them know the issue and that I felt I was lead to believe my dress could be altered with no issues. This was not the case. ***** ***** *** *** * *** ** ******* **** ******* ****** On 11/18/22 I was told that when they reached out to the seamstress they were told that the straps were not done up properly after they looked at the pictures I provided however they lost that email with the seamstress. When I emailed ***** back, the store owner responded through *****s email telling me she was responding for ***** in her absence and it was "just my opinion regarding the straps fitting better if they were crossed". I feel that the staff have mislead my to believe my dress could be altered the way I wanted. They have yet to take accountability.
