    We hired Chem Dry Ottawa to clean the upholstery of our sofa & 2 chairs. The first serviceman came with one 3x3 cloth to place on the floor. We asked for additional protection for our new hardwood floors and he said that was all he had. I gave him a few rags & a small entryway runner in the hopes that this would suffice. He proceeded to clean the sofa & chairs using the Chem Dry machine & hose with a small appliance at the end of it. I reminded him several times that the floors were getting sprayed & he assured me that it could be simply wiped off. After he left, we did our best to wipe the spray off the floor as well as the entire back wall & glass-framed picture which was hung on that wall. The sofa & chairs still had a number of stains remaining and the arms were still grey & soiled. We called the company & expained the problem & they sent another serviceman to redo the job. I specifically asked that they bring enough covering to protect the floors & they said there was no problem doing that. Needless to say, when the second person arrived to do the job, he did have a covering for the floor but it was soaking wet from his previous job!!!! I gave him what I had available but, it was not sufficient & he was not interested in confining his work to the clothes I gave him. Again we had a floor full of spray which we attempted to wipe off after he left. What we saw was a blotchy & hazy floor from the cleaning chemicals used. I might add, the sofa looked minimally better than before. We have called the Customer Service Representative, ********* ******* numerous times requesting the formula for the fluid they used (as per the request of our flooring company), but he has failed to respond despite his promises. To clean our hardwood floors of Chem Dry's cleaning chemicals, we firstly need their formula and then have a floor company clean the haze & blotchiness. We would have them charge Chem Dry for the cleanup due to Chem Dry's negligence.
