    We are asking *** to resolve a problem concerning a terrace door installed in our house. The door in question is allowing air and water to enter in the house. Longwood has had over a year to resolve this issue. You may be interested to know that the door was improperly installed during construction. The door was modified in order to fit the location in the basement walk-out. The builder changed the configuration of the hinges and positioning of the door opening. The door company (Jeld Wen) was notified about this and came to our house. The technician informed us that this was a bad installation to begin with. Longwood is well informed about this problem and has had one of their workers inspect the said door but time marches on and we are waiting for the builder to resolve this situation. If required we can supply photos showing ice formation on the bottom of the door. These pictures have been previously sent to the builder. This situation is now over 1 year and still unresolved. We would appreciate any help in resolving this problem. By the way the bottom of the frame is starting to rot due to ice formation in the winter.

    I’m writing in response to you ****** ******** ****** complaint regarding the terrace door installed in your house. The product in question was not noted to have been modified to fit the location but have received confirmation from our suppliers that the product was in fact built to different specs as noted on our plan. Technicians have been sent to make adjustments multiple times to try to have the current door function until the new product is received.


    The door model and colour has since been discontinued but we have managed to have the supplier make a custom door with the correct colour and style for you and is now currently in production. When we receive the new product, it will be replaced. Our service team is happy to continue work with you to have this door replaced to your satisfaction and they can be reached Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
