They provide fake insurance certificates. I called the company and they are not insured. To date they cannot provide proof of insurance while they were working on my property. Hired to grade property, build a new driveway and rebuild an existing driveway. 1 stars for the price, issues during the job and results below. I hired Citywide based on their price and seeing other works completed by them in the area, but the work completed on my project does not appear to be the same quality I've seen on their other jobs. Locates were not going to be called for to confirm any existing underground services and utilities. By law you must call for locates before any excavation takes place. The granular base was not going to be the appropriate depth per the quote unless I brought to the workers attention. 18" was quoted, 6" was going to be provided. Communication is an issue between employees and Citywide owners where they are not onsite much and the workers do not speak English well. New driveway layout/orientation was incorrect even after communicating to the owner and employees multiple times. Had to be corrected. Stair landing pad height was communicated to, and a final elevation **** was provided from the start, and reiterated to many people onsite. Yet the final height is 4" lower than required. A substantial amount of water ponds at the end of one driveway. A seam can be seen where material ran out and new asphalt was received to place later. This driveway was also not lined property to be one continuous slope from top to bottom of driveway. There is a 'V' at the end before it has to rise to meet the sidewalk. Soil added pushed my neighbour fence in. This was brought up to multiple people onsite and never fixed. Excess soil left in piles and other areas requiring additional fill not provided. As requested on their final day I paid in full, but I should have held back some payment to ensure these construction quality issues are fixed.

Citywide Home Improvements are completely unaware of basic construction standards and have hired incompetent sub-contractors to do their work. They attempted to renovate my bathroom but I asked them to leave after the fourth massive water leak in my house. The last incident happened because their so called plumber went home without capping the pipes and the water leaked into my kitchen all night.During the time they worked at my home, I was subjected to yelling and swearing, having items stolen and being insulted. One of their contractors walked in on me using the toilet despite the doors to my bedroom and ensuite being closed. They damaged my plumbing and tried to repair it by nailing the pipes together with plywood nails. They cut off the lips on the bathtub to make it fit and did not bolt it down at all. They glued the tiles directly onto the studs and did not install drywall. The tiles were stacked on top of each other. They told me there was no mould but covered up black mould with the tiles. They cut the studs and ruined the framing trying to install a niche. They cut the floor joists for some reason. They damaged all the plumbing trying to install the vanity, toilet and bathtub. The floor was at a 45 degree slant, they used grout to repair holes they made in my walls. There is so much more. When the new plumber was replacing all the damaged pipes, he removed the **trap, there was urine present that had been there (in his professional opinion) for about a month or two. This coincides with the same timeframe the contractor hired by Citywide to tile. The man never used ************** once despite working from 8 AM to 4-6PM every day without leaving my house. The actual construction was so poorly done that it caused extensive damage to my home. I was left with a bill of almost $26,000 in repairs and extra costs to the original amount to remodel my bathroom. Citywide has refused to accept responsibility and pay for the damages to my home.

Hi first of all I would like to apologize for your experience with citywide.

I would like to say this is the first you have mentioned about things being stolen. Thats is an awful thing to accuse. But of course that will have to be proven when it go to court.

when it comes to urine in your bathroom that you accused of our sub contractor and that he didnt use the toilet in all the time he was there. He has medical conditions and has a bag. Again that will be proved in the court.

you say we have taking no responsibility? Im going to see if I can upload the chat logs between you and my employer. We did everything in our power to resolve the situation but you refused absolutely everything we purposed. From the first day we started the job you ran down our staff and at one point asked one of our staff to leave the job for absolutely no reason. From day one is all we received from you was threats that you would destroy our business. Not to mention from day one you wanted to scam the insurance to have them pay for repairs at your home.

we completed almost the total job despite everything you didnt pay us not one single dollar for any of the work. You refuse to even pay for the materials that was purchased for your home.

we offered to have a engineer inspect the damage that you say we have caused and you refused. Then you send a bill for over $36,000. ?

you wanted a free bathroom plus money? But not surprising since you wanted to scam the insurance company.

its then we should of walked away. Like I say we have all the chat logs then will be presented in court of were you agreed that all was good one week before Christmas. But then you got other contractors in to do some work and I heard from your neighbors they also didnt get paid.

in all my ***************************************************************************** a customer like this.

I dont have one single negative reviews.  But from day one we received multiple threat of trying to destroy our business.

I am going to see if I can talk to the BBB to see if its possible to attach just some of the chat log messages between you and our employees just for others to see.

when it comes to your cost of over $26,000 in so call repairs and $10,000 for your self we have ask not one time but multiple times to send us the invoice but you never did.

Look forward to seeing you in court.
