Car is under my husbands name. Reeve Hicks. From 05/30/23-06/09/23 dealership had the car for end of warranty inspection. Looking into a rattle upon start and a juttery transmission. Was told multiple times not to touch anything if it is not covered with the warranty. Before anything was worked on they were asked if it was covered under warranty and they repeatedly said yes. They were told over the phone multiple times as well as in person. Pick the vehicle up 06/09/23, have a bill that says $0.00. No charges given. still have the bill. On 06/12/23, we are given a phone call saying wear items are not covered with warranty and that we owe the dealership $534.49. We were told we are being charged labor for the replaced dual clutch assembly they did and wear items such as the clutch are not covered. We were told at least four to five times on the phone and in person that we would not be charged and everything was under warranty.

    To Whom it may concern,

******* of ******** makes every effort to accurately estimate and troubleshoot all vehicle maintenance and repairs that come into our shop, In this situation a wear item (the dual clutch pack) that was not covered under the customers extended warranty, was replaced without his/ her consent. this resolved the customers complaint, however after the vehicle was released to the customer assuming full warranty coverage (an error on our part), ******* Canada denied our coverage claim. we were able to have the cost of the parts covered as good will, but requested that the customer contribute the cost of the installation labour at a reduced rate for the above amount of $534.49. after discussion with Mr. ***** he has made it clear that he has no intention of assisting in the cost of the installation of the new part on his vehicle. At this time we have absorbed this additional cost. In the future we ask that the customer seek servicing of his/ her vehicle at a different location.

    Sincerely,

    ******** *****
