    My wife and I booked the ******************************** for 3 nights in August 2022. This dwelling is a 3-bedroom bungalow, very old in vintage. In the evening of the second night, we heard the scurrying of rodents in the walls with loud gnawing sounds. We wanted to alert the hosts but they had gone to bed. As a retired professional firefighter of ************************************************************************************************************ the morning, we reported this to ********* the owner, and said we would not be staying another night because of this safety concern. She thoroughly dismissed this event as 'a squirrel in a tree over the roof' and 'this is country living'. She had remarked upon our arrival that the way we were dressed we must be from the 'city'. Upon checkout, ******** was going to charge us for the cancelled night even though it was a safety issue with her house. We did not agree to pay the extra night; however, ******** charged our credit card after we left. Knowing the ramifications of a house fire, I immediately contacted the ******************************* with our complaint and also reported this safety issue to the *********** Fire Chief who is initiating a visit to the B&B. We also must report there was mold around the bathtub and we didn't want to use it.

    Thank you for your inaccurate review. Reviews from other guests over a period of years tell a different story to yours. I welcomed the Fire inspection who responded immediately to your complaint & put their written response herewith:-On Thursday August 11, 2022, an inspection of the above noted property was conducted from a complaint registered with regard to critters in the walls and the electrical safety. During the inspection of the exterior there were no signs of animals being able to gain access to the home. All pipes and venting had been sealed with spray foam and all soffit and facia are intact with no damage. The inspection of the inside showed no overloaded outlets, no use of extension cords and no discolouration of any outlets
