I purchased a treatment package through this company and they have since closed their business with little notice, and have not returned my money. The business offered a prepaid bundle of services for a discount. I bought a 10-service bundle for $700.
I had 2 services completed when they closed the office. I found out by attending for an appointment and seeing a note on the door that it is closed due to staff shortage. They would be in touch in 2-3 weeks. It’s been approximately 3 months and remains closed.
My complaint is that they have between $500-$600 of my money.

I received a $400 gift card for Christmas for Afya Medical Spa in Guelph and learned that they closed recently without notifying anyone. I just want the money back to go to a different medical spa.

AFYA Medical Spa collects money from customers for the promise of future treatments (packages). I had made a purchase at Afya in November 2024. It was "package" to buy 6 facial treatments upfront/prepayment. There was no option to defer payment, or setup a payment plan. This costed about $1000. I had used 2 facial treatments so far, with 4 treatments remaining. Afya closed their business around March 25th 2025. There was no communication sent to me regarding this, however other clients recieved notice. In September 2024 I bought a 9 sessions whole body laser hair removal package from Afya. I found out through word of mouth a few weeks ago that Afya closed their doors without notice to clients. I was subscribing to facial treatments at this spa. I have a $1600 credit on file with this business. However, it appears they might have gone out of business. The website is not working, the online booking app is not offering any availability for any service, and my phone calls are going to voicemail with no one returning my call. I would like to know if I have any way to file for rebate of my $1600 credit.
