We had hired **** and his team to complete some renovations to our main level of our house, major one replacing the all flooring. The installation of the flooring was amateurs at best. We purchased more than enough flooring then needed, yet he almost didnt have enough to finish. He wasted so much of the flooring when installing. It was not installed properly either, leaving lots of gaps and noticeable dings in our brand new floor. About a month after completion, we started to have issues. A nail popped up through the vinyl, lots of clicking noise when we walked on it, and the tile started to separate. After a couple of more month the vinyl started to separate in LOTS of areas, leaving gaps. We contacted **** to come and take a look, he refused. So we had two different flooring specialist come to assess the floor. Both said it was an installation issue, that they used too much force when installing and damaged the clicking system. We went back to **** and once again he refused to even come and take a look. Cost for us to repair the flooring was estimated at $3,000 plus the cost of new floor. We are appalled that he never even took the time to come and assess the issue, given that we have a 5 year warranty on labour for the flooring. Dont waste your time, go else where.

With all due respect, it is unfortunate that your review does not resemble our experience nor accurately represent our companys level of professional services provided to your complete satisfaction as per the Scope of Work and Contract Agreement completed in May 2021. The Scope of Work was to prepare the existing sub-floor (sweep, removed debris, remove /fasten protruding nails and/or screws, etc.,) and install the Floating Click-Flooring product you selected and purchased at a retail store. This has been completed in accordance with the Manufacturers installation sheet included in the Manufacturers box. A walkthrough was conducted with you prior to leaving the site to ensure client satisfaction and final invoice submitted and paid in 2021. Pictures were taken, there were no gaps, separations nor any clicking anywhere. When informed of the popped nail in the corner issue shortly after completing the work, we returned to promptly rectify the issue, acknowledging our error to remove a hidden corner s**** We also provided recommendation to stabilize an area in the kitchen (for cuts around existing cabinets and island) and was disregarded. When you contacted us again between May 2023 August 2023 to indicate separation, clicking sound in certain areas, we informed you that if the product would have been improperly installed (or used broken products) it would have been noticeable during the installation not over 1 years later. To clarify, any use of broken or improper installation of the product would also have affected all installed flooring everywhere given its locking system. As for the comment pertaining wasted material each plank pulled from the box was visually inspected to ensure there was no breakage prior and during installation. If any planks were damaged in boxes, they were set aside and thrown out so as not to compromise the installation none were wasted as stipulated. The number of boxes ordered likely did not account for a percentage of loss which was not factored in by the retailer when you made your purchase. Another misleading factor in your review, is that both store associates/representative noted that the floor is not level which is what caused fracture to surface on the long side and possibly the lock system in an area. Any dip in subfloor creates a weak point in floor with weight or pressure stressing the lock system. Again, a result of structural integrity and/or uneven existing subfloor not from our companys lack of professionalism, poor installation and workmanship as implied. I reiterate that there was no indication at the time of install that the floor was unlevel to the point that it could potentially compromise the flooring. The structural integrity of the existing sub-floor is not covered under our workmanship warranty; neither is wear and tear (e.g., sliding chairs/furniture, scratches, chips, grooves, etc.), misuse and/or abuse (e.g., damage from falling objects, toys, kids walking with skates on the floor as you have expressed during a visit), nor manufacturers material integrity, quality, or durability. We understand your discontent with the Floating Click-Flooring product you selected and purchased as well as your disappointment that it is not performing to your standards. We have communicated with you through emails, viewed photos provided and explored potential causes. Uneven floors, soft sub-floor and/or Manufacturers product quality does not fall within our warranty.
