    Last December I requested a quote from Hanover Kitchens built in cabinets around a custom tiled fireplace. After discussion on the phone and in person (their preferred way of communication) I was sent a quote, a design and purchase agreement. To proceed I was told I needed to sign the drawing which included the measurements and products numbers for the order. At this time I asked for a product catalog to verify the products were correct. I was told they don't provide this to the customer, * ****** **** *** ****** *** *** ****** ** ** **** ********* **** * **** ** *** ** ****** ** ********** ***** **** *** **** ** **** ** **** *** *** ********* *** * **** * ** ********** ******** *** **** *** ****** *** **** ******* ** the problem, the product was delivered and part of the installation was completed on the same day (Aug 22). When I was about to pay the amount of delivery I checked the product and install at which time I noticed the product was laminate and not wood. I immediately called Karen to discuss this issue and she indicated she would call me back. No response and the following morning the installer continued. I finally got a hold of Karen again *** ** *** ******** **** *** ** ******** ** ********** *** *****. I called the owner Peter *** *** *** **** *********** I asked for the installation to cease until the the issue is resolved. After 3 weeks of not hearing a solution from Hanover Kitchens, they asked to continue the install. I said no because I'm not happy with the product or the quality of it. The problem - I expected melamine/laminate cabinet boxes with painted wood doors, trim, shelves. I received all laminate and the quality of the product is substandard at that. * ***** **** ********* **** ******* ** **** *** ************* ******** The total price was $7877.40, I paid 50% in Feb 2022.
