    On June 30th, 2023 we signed a contract to have the basement floor leveled (5 years warranty) with a minor sloop to allow drainage if needed. Laminate flooring was installed on top of Styrofoam subfloor. Laminate and subfloor purchased by us. From the beginning there was always delays to start the job despite first payment being sent. On the day the job was completed we showed ****** that one of the laminate board was not properly connected and even sinking below the flooring. We then found the same problem in multiple places throughout the floor (cement floor not even -leveling not done properly). Floor would have to be taken out and leveling as well as flooring to be redone. We purchased 5 boxed of flooring to give ****** a head start however he would have to supply all necessary material as this is caused by his work. Contractor notified and sent pictures. He promised to come and fixed the problem once he finished his 5 weeks contract in Smiths Falls. We waited and heard nothing. From that point on we had to continually email ****** in regards to a date. Constant excuses for delays were provided (need to finish stone driveway before winter hits, 3.7 million dollar home having custom cabinets done, custom glass hand railings needing to be installed, other expensive house taking priority.. ****** has been promising to look at his schedule and provide us with dates the next morning. We constantly have to follow up days later since there was no contact made...always excuses or ignoring us. On February 23rd ****** mentioned that he would make his March schedule and promised to put us in it...we still haven't heard from him... We must have over 30 email exchange of broken promises. We live in a small bungalow, 2 senior ladies and can not afford to pay someone else to fix the work. The floor leveling warranty is 5 years and all other work is 3. He has failed to honor in all aspects, my .5 inch of printed email can attest to that.
