Date of Transaction is 10 December 2023.I have paid the merchant $22,201.83 in total in various forms of payment. by credit cards, interac, and $3000 in cash. Even after paying the bill in full, I have not received all of the materials necessary to complete the installation. He has only installed about 60 percent of the cabinets and insisted I paid the entire amount upfront. I had already made a partial payment and to get the kitchen completed I was forced to pay the full total upfront. ******** has not completed the kitchen after numerous attempts to contact him and organize this. He forced me to pay his associate ********************* in cash to complete the kitchen cabinets upfront. ******** has caused me distress and I am living without a complete Kitchen for months. Given that the kitchen is only 60% complete, I am looking for 40% of the total amount paid to be returned to me.

    Business Response

    Date: 24/03/2025

I received a call from her sister looking to have someone do her kitchen in ********, i mentioned to her that I don't really do the work there, I can sell it but not install it.

After we agreed that she will pay me for the material and the Labor she will pay herself directly to the installer. I arranged for Chadi to come down to ******** with me so I can show him the work to be done. At the time of the site visit, I realized that she is overhead with this project, there was a support wall beam that had to be installed, a post must be installed in the basement, all her electrical was wrong and not up to code, her insulation and vapor barrier was installed wrong. After helping her to do it right, we even spoke to her electrician to help him with doing it right. I arranged for Chadi to help her with the installation of the Beam, the NEW post in the basement. She paid Chadi for the work performed he did more than what we agreed on for him to do.

After spending time with the client to be sure she is not getting played by the subs she hired, we were ready to begin the installation. Cabinets were delivered as promised, the supplier missed a few items, other items were used by the installer for other reasons, without telling me. I realized that Chadi was not happy with what was happening and that she was to pay him after the installation was completed. Instead he made her feel sorry for him and paid him the balance. Now my challenge was to find an installer from Ottawa that is willing to work in ********. I had found an installer that paid them to finish the job. I paid the installer $4200 to complete the installation and to pay $2706.00 to pick up the balance of material missing. As far as I know and feel, this woman received what was promised and more. I apologized to her many times for the delay and the way the job went, but I made sure that she had her kitchen as I designed it. I never received any messages from her saying that the kitchen was completed and she was not happy.

If you need proof of the conversation I have all the messages saved for this reason alone.
