    On 21 April 2024, I bought lot 4106, Danby portable dishwasher. The lot description as well as the bill of sale list the condtion as "WORKING." When I came to pick up the dishwasher, I was assured that it had been tested and was working. I since discovered that the drain pump was not included. As a result, the dishwasher takes in water, but lacks the ability to drain it , leading to overfilling and flooding. I contacted the manufacturer, Danby, to purchase a replacement drain pump. ***** responded that the drain pump is out of stock. I also contacted the appliance parts stores recommended by *****, and was told that they do not have the part in question.As a result, the dishwasher is not functional and cannot be repaired.On 6 June 2024, I emailed Maclean & Associates to make them aware of the problem and ask for a refund, as the item purchased is clearly not in "working" condition.I have not received any response from Maclean & Associates.

    I apologize for the delay in this response but I have not had a complaint ever in 25 years of business through the BBB. 
    I am sorry that you felt it necessary to publish the complaint here but we did respond to you to return the machine. 
    We received your email regarding the dishwasher and ***** replied back and followed up with you to return the dishwasher to us for a full refund. 
    When time passed, I asked ***** to call you to return the dishwasher so we could credit you and the person who consigned it. 
    I understand that the dishwasher was returned a couple of days ago. Thank you. 
    We are happy to refund you and then look into the issue at hand. 
    it is never our intention to deceive and we do test the items and make sure they are working. According to the Consignor, the item was in working condition. 
    We again apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and look forward to the resolution of this matter. 
    I will email you the refund early next week as it is a long weekend.
