  I hired Oliver Painting to do stucco repair to a commercial building in ******. I met with ******* Oliver and he talked a good game, he said his crew would be bringing in scaffold to reach the second floor and would do their best to match the worm pattern of our current stucco. A 30% deposit was given.When the job was started they asked for access to the roof as their scaffold was set up at another job, this request was denied as the roof only has access through a residential tenant unit and we did not want contractors going through this space. Oliver painting then showed up with a ladder that would not reach the second story.As the job was being completed, multiple patch holes were missed mainly due to the fact the ladder would not reach the top of the building. The finish was not done in a worm pattern, but a sponge finish. When I express by dissatisfaction with the job, it was redone, only to turn out worse. At this time, ******* brought in another employee and his work made the repair area stand out even more. They colour match was not even close.After discussion with *******, he stated that is as good as it gets. I told him I would be hiring a professional company to complete the job properly and deduct that cost from the balance owing.He went ahead and sent me an invoice for the full amount and then tacked on $1400 to register a lien against the property.I told him I would pay the balance, less $500 for the poor quality of repair and not pay the lien fee and a condition of payment was it would be removed. ******* declined and told me to pay in full.He is now threatening to send me to a collection agency.******* Oliver talks a good game but that is where it ends, he likes to name drop and mention he has done work for the ********* that he does all kinds of charity work. He is nothing but hot air and his company and the quality of their work is sub par.

  I am rejecting this response because: Oliver Painting was hired by **, ******* was personally on site multiple times, the deposit was made by *********************** Limited.  For him to deny doing the work just shows how poor of a business person he is.  I guess if he says he does not have a contract and was not hired by us, then we owe him nothing.

  **************** was completed as per contracted. ***** you are fully aware of our conversation on site for the expectations of the work contrcted for us to do. 

  This work has been completed over 6 months ago. You have no tenant renting  the space we repaired  from you ,this is no reason to not pay Oliver Painting Inc. 

   

  We have addressed all of your concerns . You have recieved your invoice that is past due. Oliver  Painting **** Is not responsible to carry work while your searching  for new tenants to cover your maintenance costs.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  The invoice has not been paid because the quality of work was not acceptable and ******* Oliver lied to me on multiple cases.  We agreed that the job would be done using scaffold, it wasn't, we agreed the stucco finish would be a worm pattern and it was not, we agreed the colour would be matched and it is not even close.  I gave you multiple opportunities to repair the job and you made it worse each time not better.  I offered a solution and you declined.  Instead you threatened to put a lien on the property and send us to collections.  The level of professionalism from ******* is poor.  This has absolutely nothing to do with the building not having a tenant, we are more than capable of paying our bills, but I will not pay for lies and poor quality workmanship.

  Again the tenants did not renew thier lease due to the management **** the owner) . Now ***** having empty space for almost a year is unable to pay for thr discussed work to the building.

  I am rejecting this response because: Oliver painting did not complete the job as discussed.  The quality of the work was poor, the job was not completed properly or how ******* explained it would be done.  ******* Oliver is a liar and does not follow through.  He agreed the first two times the job was not done correctly, however, the attempts to make it better only made it worse

  The whole reason for doing the repair work was to get the building ready for the next tenant.  We have been in business for over 50 years, this has absolutely nothing to do with the main floor being vacant, it is 100% due to the poor quality of work and the lies of ******* Oliver.

  Continuous insultson here along with not paying your subtrades tou hire is beneath you. Please stop insulting.. this matter is no longer in my department . Try and obtain a tenant!
