      Where do I start? I guess from the beginning - August 13 2021 signed a contract with Tim D. from Kincardine, Ontario to install wood siding, soffit/facia/eavestrough/downspouts on our house. Contract was signed and work would begin on the following week he requested a deposit of $16,000 (trusting as I am I gave him the requested amount). September 27th strapping was installed, 1/4 of the garage side of the house siding was installed when I dropped by to have a look there were huge gaps in the siding when I mentioned he said not a problem fill it with caulking. This was not acceptable I know the wood siding company would not have provided any warranty on the product when not installed correctly. As well the starter strip which sits under the strapping was cut around the strapping because the strapping was abutted up against the cement. This bit of work that was completed was only started because he wanted an extra $5000 ** **** *** *** ** **** ****** ***** ** *******. At this point I requested he cease working on the house and requested he return the deposit less time spent. Although lawyers are involved he has not made any restitution. ** *** **** **** ********** *** **** ** ****
