    Been trying to get him out here to fix our propain furnace for over a year due too heat exchanger Crack. Second time it has been replaced ignored our calls to come out and fix the problem . Fixed it the last time due to heat exchanger Crack over a year ago now it cracked again. Finally got ahold of him and basically said it might be out of warranty prolly is after waiting a year for his call back and I posted a review on the ****** page with his business he said if I don't take down my review he will not come out and fix it. Not a really good business if that's how he is going to handle it I'd like to get this resolved cause we have been nice about it . ******* ** **** ******* ** *** ******** **** * ** *** *** **** *** **** *** ******** ******* *** **

    To whom it may concern:


    The unit was sold and installed October 23rd, 2017 to a ****** *******, not ****** ***** nor a ***** ***** In reality the manufacturer only warranties their product with the original purchaser and it’s not transferable, see attached ****** ******* ******* Warranty disclaimer. We live in a small town which relies mostly on having a good reputation, Out of good faith we replaced the heat exchanger in 2020, and we did not bill the *****.


    2024: I offered out of good faith again to assist in getting this issue fixed by inquiring with manufacturer. I offered to replace the heat exchanger with the one I have in stock while we wait for the manufacturer to respond. My only request was to have the online insults and slander removed. Complainant offered only to remove the online insults and slander when I fix the unit under warranty.


    Complainant is trying to blackmail me by insulting me and my company by posting on ******** false slanderous information. They then proceeded at trying to harm my business on goggle reviews, and then proceeded at filling a better business bureau complaint.


    I will not be blackmailed, coerced, manipulated, forced into providing services to clients. We will make one more request to have the slander removed before proceeding to civil litigation.

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

    *** ******** in regurad to my complaint against Merricks. I talked it over with my mom "***** ****" And we do not agree it's blackmail that we bought the stove off Merricks and we don't believe that we should have to pay for the identical part that he had in his van that we had 10 year warrenty for! We talked to the stove manufacturer and the stove is transferable into my mom "***** ****" and not just "****** ********" name as they were together but the proptery Is in my mom "***********" name ****** . And my mom is the only person Merricks delt with and for him to say he did it out of good faith is false info as to this is his job as it's still under warrenty. As to the review it can stay up and all the other posts on ******** as it's true info and I am allowed to do so . Merricks also called my mom on the phone and asked for pictures of the broken cracked heat exchanger. And told my mom he was going to have a awnser by the same afternoon. I did not hear back from him that day and when mom talked to me when she got home she informed me that I was going to take down the bad review not until he showed up I was gunna take the bad review down right in front of him once work was done incase he didn't show up for another year. And Merricks told me on the phone in a rude attitude he doesn't work like that . So the next day my mom called Merricks about the warrenty he informed my mom "***** ****" yes he can put the warrenty work thru no problem but he said my mom is shooting herself in the foot because he is not going to do any work for my mom "***** ****" until my son ****** removes the bad review and the complaint my son put in at the better business bureau which I have rights to post after we have been trying to get him out here for over a year and had enough of his games. His replay was  "nope I don't work that way". So my mom proceded to ask Merricks straight out if he was coming out to fix the broken unit and he informed my mom  he was not so that's when I called you guys. So my mom since went to another heating company and had them contact empire and are ordering another heat exchanger for us under the 10 year warrenty. So my mom will no longer be shopping at Merricks! And once she gets it all figured out and fixed she will also be putting a bad ****** review  and ******** review about Merricks that's what reviews are for . And for Merricks to threaten me with litigation go right ahead take action because my mom will counter sue for  costs of him not doing the work under warrenty to cover her costs!! My mom found him very rude disrespectful and arrogant and finds it unbelievable how he can stay in business this long treating people like this . WHERES THE GOOD FAITH ?? AND BLACKMAIL?? FOR DOING YOUR OWN JOB?? WHAT A JOKE... And other people should be informed of this business so other people don't have to go thru what we have .
