Ubdegrove (Kingston) demonstrated a low standard of work when asked to investigate a significant leak in a home. When asked what could be causing the resultant flooding from the toilet/shower drain into the lower floor. Ubdegrove responded with it could be a backup in the drain line. When asked about what they could to do next, they responded we could put a longer snake down the drain and/or a camera, but I will need a second person and I didnt bring my camera. If the water floods again we can take a more in-depth look. I interpret this as failure to investigate and to complete a requested job. The goal of the plumbing visit is to prevent damage, not wait until something significant happens. Ubdegrove came unprepared to complete requested work, despite this being a second visit to the home and informed that notes were taken about the issue from the first visit; thus preparation for expectant work should not be a surprise. As a result of Ubdegroves low standard of work and recommendation that the leak was fixed. Flooding continued and destroyed the newly finished ceiling from the original leak. The failure of Ubdegrove to conduct appropriate standard of work has resulted in avoidable economic consequences. These consequences are lower productivity of individuals, time now needed away from work to mitigate the avoidable problem and additional burden of work for the disaster restoration company to avoid the development of complications from the water damage. This represents poor business practice and actions should be taken to rectify this inadequacy.
