KFHC has a cockroach infestation that has been present the whole time I have resided here going on over 20 years. For the most part things were controlled by a pest control company that let KFHC know what was necessary to help prevent problem. Although they kept them in check for the most part they would always return and treatments would be needed again to give us peace of mind for a short while. But a few years back things got really bad and KFHC hired their own Bug guy on staff to handle things going forward. All because of bad news paper articles in local papers saying KFHC was not doing their job well enough. But this has turned out to be a night mare. After discussions with other tenants in the 2 buildings here as well as housing units almost 90 units asked me to write this for ***. The guy KFHC has hired now tells the pest control people what to do not the other way around anymore. As a result we are now at the worst point we have ever been in all the years I have lived here or that any others can even remember. The tenants are tired of KFHC pest guy showing up because at every visit he make a point to try and make it seem it is that sole tenant who is responsible for all the bugs some how. They feel belittled by him every time and I have experienced this a few times myself. Every single time pest control would show up to do job on apt. every single time they would put down KFHC bug guy saying he does not know what he is doing. Well now his habit of blaming everyone we are now on to our 3 pest control company in last few years because it becomes thier fault things are so bad. He fires one company when he heres they complain about him knowing nothing. Company after company on every single visit have complained openly about not being able to help us as they can only do as he instructs them to do and he is not open to advise from a professional. Soon we will run out of pest control company who can help us with him standing in our way. KHFC needs him gone.

KFHC is a social housing landlord and provides affordable rent.  Like all landlords regardless of non-profit or for profit we all have pest infestation.   KFHC has an extensive pest management system and we employ over three companies to assist with the eliminations of cockroaches and bedbugs.  As a landlord we are responsible for the treatment of the unit however tenants are responsible for preparing their units and following strict guidelines set out by both KFHC and the pest treatment companies.  The tenants are being held responsible for the condition of their unit and if it is not adequately prepared it doesn't receive treatment as the treatment would be ineffective.  It is through working together and taking direction from KFHC staff that pests will be eliminated from the units.

I am rejecting this response because:
It is nothing more than a misleading statement made by the *** who has a well worn record of misleading statements to cover the incompetence of KFHC to do their jobs properly. Ans if they were to do so there would be no need for local news outlets to point out that the tenants of KFHC do indeed get mistreated by them at every turn. The *** here in question called us you people when she wanted to infer we are a lower class that does not require respect. Just google complaints and KFHC and you can read for days about the cockroach infestation they say they have so many people on the job. But this is nothing more than I would expext from them living here for going on 30 years and dealing with this *** for ever. SAD

    Sincerely,
