November 2024 13 thousand dollars and then another 20 thousand for the cost of borrowing. They gave me a car that needed 5100$ in repairs and it was not safe for the road. They said they had two mechanics look at it but it still has sweating around the motor and I paid for a new clutch. The engine light keeps coming on and they did not fix it and tried to tell me it was because the fog light was malfunctioning . They did not care about my safety and they did not care about my financial situation that this car would cause such hardship I tried talking. To them but they just wanted me to pay more for towing and they just didnt not offer any solutions I hope no one else has such hardship like I did.

Ms. ***** concern is related to a wearable item that is not part of any manufacturer or extended warranty. Ms. **** uses her vehicle for work purposes and as such, her vehicle  will undoubtedly require more regular service intervals due to the increased mileage she is putting on her car.

As a gesture of goodwill, we did offer to extend a discount to Ms. **** if she wished to get her clutch replaced at our dealership to save her on out of pocket expenses. Ms. **** elected to have the work completed elsewhere.

Although Ms. **** has not provided any invoices or supporting documentation to corroborate her claimed $6500 repair bill, we can confirm that the average cost of this repair at a MINI dealership would be less than half of the claimed amount. Had Ms. **** taken us up on our offer to assist, her out of pocket expense for the repair would have been around $1200.

Victory Lane Auto Sales prides itself in exceptional customer service and has continued to assist and support Ms. **** months after her vehicle purchase. We would encourage Ms. **** to revert to her vehicle owners manual for helpful information on the regular service intervals suggested by the vehicle manufacturer. Further, Ms. **** does have an extended third party warranty on her vehicle that covers components outlined in her warranty  contract. This warranty coverage does require that the registered owner complete maintenance as outlined by the vehicle manufacturer.

Victory Lane Auto Sales has a strict zero tolerance policy for harassment or abuse towards any of our staff or associates. Ms. **** was unfortunately unable to respect and adhere to this policy and for that reason we respectfully decline to participate in any further communication with this client.

We do wish Ms. **** the best of luck going forward and the continued enjoyment of her Mini ******.

I am rejecting this response because:
Its not acceptable that the business is not telling the truth about the cost as they are not a Mini ****** mechanic and they did not want to pay up front the cost of having the vehicle taken from the side of the road wear it left me and as well from the very beginning they did not even give me a cut key!!! Thats ridiculous how am I suppose to start the car if the automatic key fob doesnt work? They never followed through with this. They just brought the car to me with no cut key. The clutch was giving me problems right from the beginning and the dealers where I took the car which they agreed kept telling me it was just a glitch. Not satisfied I will keep complaining until I get some of the cost covered and a key to start the car.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ****

Ms. **** elected to have her clutch replaced elsewhere, we had previously provided a solution to help her save costs by having the work done at our facility. Again, as she has not provided any supporting documentation for her claimed $6500 repair bill, we cannot accurately provide any additional information. We can however confirm that the cost to replace a clutch at the OEM dealer (MINI Durham, closest to her location) is about half the cost she is claiming. We reiterate again that a clutch is a wearable item, Ms. **** puts substantial mileage on her vehicle and a clutch would not be a covered item even on a brand new vehicle per the manufacturers warranty.

We struggle to understand how Ms. **** would have operated her vehicle since November 2024 without a functional key but we can confirm that a working key was provided at time of purchase. If her key fob is currently not functioning, it could be as simple as replacing the battery in the **** This is a DIY procedure with many helpful how-to videos online.

For reasons mentioned in our previous response, we do wish Ms. **** the best of luck with her vehicle going forward but respectfully decline to provide any further assistance to this client.
