    Felt forced by employees to add my daughter to my insurance because she was moving back in with me after university. I explained this is something I did not feel comfortable with, however it they still insisted with **** customer service and no understanding. They still added my daughter, so I decided to not renew my policy via phone. However, after I chose not to renew my policy I was given a statement charging me $441.89. Insisting that I pay it or they will be sending me to credit bureau. I also thought it was inappropriate that they were asking for my new auto insurance documentation then twisting details to suggest that I was going to continue moving forward having insurance with them.

    Unfortunately, We needed to process the additional driver in the household as per ********** and Ontario's Automobile Insurance guidelines. We actually did not have any options as to whether we added her daughter as it is a requirement. We asked for a copy of her new Insurance so that we may backdate the cancellation to minimize the potential of any cancellation fees. We were hoping that we could backdate to her renewal date so that any cancellation fees would be waived but when the documentation was submitted by the client , unfortunately it was after the renewal date . We were unable to waive the cancellations fees. I totally understand her being concerned and if I could have waived the fees I would have definitely done this for her but in this case, It was after the renewal date that she placed her new insurance.

    Unfortunately, as previously explained. we were unable to backdate the cancellation due to when the request was received and therefore there is a balance outstanding. This is beyond my control and I sincerely wish we could have resolved this prior to your renewal date. Angie
