    Owner: Mike W.
His website advertises new and refinished kitchens and bathroom cabinetry.
I hired kw proper finishing to-refinish my oak kitchen and bathroom vanity’s. This was done in a reasonable amount of time but the quality of the work was substandard. I wasn’t happy so I advised Mike, he attempted to fix. There was large sticker on the side of my cabinet which was simply sprayed over????minor nail holes were not fixed prior to spraying.?????? Some paint ran down and dried in a blob.????It was a mediocre job and I respectfully asked for a price reduction due to this and other issues. I ascertained that this business only sprays and contracts out the actual cabinet making. I asked for a price reduction and kw proper finishing were disrespectful towards me the customer, and refused to take accountability. ***** ** ****** *************** *** ** *********!

Our company did refinishing of Client's fireplace, kitchen and bathroom cabinets. At start of project Client was advised that small imperfections in original construction and wood grain may still be visible after the refinishing process so she must have realistic expectations. She said that she understood. A $250 reduction for the fireplace refinish was provided at start of project because Client complained about her expensive renovations. We completed the project and did touch ups as requested. We advised Client that we are willing to do further touchups that she has pointed out (painted over sticker and nail holes), however, Client has forbidden us to go to the site and will notify the police if we do show up. Client has not worked with our company in good faith to resolve this matter. We offered to have a call with Client, but she has not availed herself of this offer. Client's other contractor on site caused minor damage to our work and there were also poor original construction issues to contend with, all of which we remediated at no cost. Client also did not provide sufficient hardware or provided incorrect hardware causing delays in the project and requiring additional trips to the site. Client used her own contractor to do work on her pantry and basement cabinets and then tried to assign blame to us for issues with that cabinetry as a reason for non-payment of our project. Client owes 56% of the overall price incl HST and is in violation of our payment terms and those of Ontario's prompt payment legislation. Issues caused by Client, the remediation action taken by us as well as evidence that we had nothing to do with Client's issues with her contractor is documented in texts and emails that we can provide.
