Since 2020 I have an ongoing issue of safety, broken parts and lack of service on a furnace I had installed through a City of Kawartha Lakes grant for seniors.Business Response

This customer has a mouse issue, the mice are chewing her condensate lines which is causing a leak through her ceiling. We have been back countless times.
There are no issues with the furnace or its operation.
She needs to contact an exterminator after which point the condensate line will need repair.
We have tried our very best , even to the point of complete replacement of the unit to make her happy to no avail.

Newton commenced work early November 2021. Due to weather, was suspended, and was assured, will be completed as soon. The work entails providing and connecting relevant wires to the house electrical panel, fishing and installing Appropriate wire to operate the gate opener. In late January I paid Newton Electric $5,369..60 and told Newton Electric will come out soon and finish the work. I contacted Newton in the preceding months, without avail. In Late June 2022, a Subcontractor came out, and spent most of the day on the phone, seeking guidance, as such got nothing done. Two days later another worker showed up, at this point I surmise I had a problem, as such I asked the new guy if he was capable of doing the work, if not, to let me know, so I can seek out a Qualified installer for the work, so I can seek appropriate refund from Newton. A short while later he packed up and walked off the job, and said he to return the following Monday, and never did! All wires are still lying on my basement floor, unconnected, and gate opener NOT installed. I have since contacted a Technician in Pickering Ontario, who came up to my home, he said that the main wire that was laid for the Gate Opener, was Not the correct wire, and said wires must be replace replaced, before installing to Opener. I went to Newton last week to retrieve my gate opener parts and was verbally attacked by the ************, ***** *******, who then threatened to call the police if I didn't Vacate the property. So I left without my Opener parts! Instead of Refunding me for replacing incorrect wiring, Newton is now threatening to withholding my parts if I don't pay $1,700. ****** ******** *** ******** ***** ** **** *** **** ** ******* ** *** **** ************* ******* *** *** *** *** ******* ** *** **** ***** ********************Business Response

1) Newton's has NEVER used a subcontractor.
2) Mr. ***** actually started berating one of our Electricians who was working and called him vulgar names while chasing him off HIS property.
3) Mr ***** showed up at our property and started to yell at two of our employees, and was asked to calm down by ***** ******* our Dispatcher.
4) Mr. ***** refused to calm down and started berating ***** ******* at which time due to his being very irate ***** asked him to leave the property and told him we would gladly return the parts as soon as they were out of the technician's vehicle.
5) He continued to stay and be beligerant towards *****.
6) The parts are available to him as soon as he wants to come and pay the balance of his invoice.
7) I suggest he pays the invoice soon as my window to place a Journeyman's Lein is only good for so long and as of now I fully intend to do so.

**** *****1,2,3,4,5 are completely False. I went to Newton's address on Elm Tree Rd
to retrieve my parts and was speaking to two of Newton contractors, No screaming or abuse by me, but Newton's ************, ***** came out Shouting accusations, saying that i was of rude to one of their sub contractor at my home. Fact, as Mr. ****** can attest to,
I did approach the young man and questioned him 'are you capable of installing this gate opener, and have you done this before', if not Please tell me, so I can get a qualified technician to do it, without answering my questions, he, Newton's contractor said, "we will get it done," at which point I told the young man " Not to take it personally. At that point I went over to my contractor, Mr. **** ******, and was discussing the project with him, at which point Newton's subcontractor proceeded to run the wiring over the gate post for hookup, at which point I asked if his intent was to run the wiring over the post, instead of buying it, he answered yes, at that point I told him that that was not going to happen. Newton's contractor proceeded to pack up to leave and Mr. ****** approached him and talked him down, and reiterate my point. The Subcontractor assured Mr. ****** that he will return the next Monday, but Never did or called Mr. ******. It's quite Obvious this was a way out for him, because they, Newton was Over their heads. I have since contacted a electric Gate installer from ********** ** ********* ********** **** **** ************, who reviewed the projects and is willing to do the work, but noted that the wires presently installed were NOT appropriate, as such will have to be replaced and install. I'm seeking a refund from Newton for replacement of wire, and All of my Gate parts! My electric Gate unit was turned over to Newton at my place, by Mr. **** ******! Note, I did NOT hire Newton Electric, all arrangements were between Newton and the Contractor, Mr. **** ******, otherwise I would have fired Newton Six months ago, if I had hired them. Again, I'm seeking a refund and the Return of my Gate Parts!Business Response

I am not going to sit here and play he said she said games. This person chose to berate one of our electricians to the point that he was not going to work on his equipment anymore. He then called ***** ******* being very vulgar and rude. He then chose to show up at our property and make demands (very rudely and with vulgar language) to two more of our employees. ***** ******* heard the commotion he was causing and went from his office to outside the rear of the garage to try and look after the situation. **** then proceeded to get even more beligerant and nastier with ***** at which time he was clearly asked to leave the property. The amount he did pay was for work done previously, therefore no refund will be forthcoming. He still has an invoice and it has been decided that since he has been so rude, beligerant and quite frankly offensive to our employees we will not do anymore work for him and once he pays the balance owing we will hand over the balance of the parts in our possession. We have been in business for over 18 years and have never had an issue that we were not able to resolve with a customer peacefully and amicably. There is just no dealing with this man, when he abuses our staff. We have a good name and record in our community and this man is trying to drag us through the mud and down to his level.Customer Answer

********** ********There is No blame game here, as stated earlier, Newton's accusations of being abusive, name calling are all false! I never berated Any of Newton's contractors!
Mr. **** ******, the contractor that involved Newton to install my gate opener, was at my/the premises at the time, and could give testament to the interaction with Newton's contractor!
It became quite obvious to me, after eight months, and numerous scheduled dates of not showing up, Newton's Fallacies; i.e My "abusive" my abusive behavior towards their contractor(s), is a cover for Newton's misrepresentation their capabilities, when it pertain to installing the Gate Opener!
Newton took possession of my gate Opener Kit from my property driveway entrance, from Mr. ******, the individual that appointed Newton the job.
Again, let me absolutely clear, I'm seeking a return of all of my gate parts, and a refund, or a replacement of the inappropriate wire(s), which were assessed as Not suitable, by *** *********** ** ********** ************.
