0 stars!! Do not take your vehicle here!We brought our van in with the battery light on. We were told by the gentleman at the auto service desk that they would hook it up and test the battery, alternator and something else ($62.99). They called me about 20 minutes later and told me it was the alternator the faulty and, therefore, the battery was not holding any charge at all and we were running on whatever remaining battery life we had. We (my husband and our 2 small children) came from ******* to explore ****** for the day and so we had no choice but to agree to have it fixed and be stranded for the day, unable to explore. They said it would take about 2 hours to fix (this was at 1:02pm). At 2:19pm, I got a call saying that the alternator bolts were seized and to come back so we could discuss options as there was nothing they could do. Option 1: sell the van. Option 2: leave it there overnight, get a hotel room and see if the head mechanic can do anything the next day. Option 3: leave it there, get a rental and drive all the way back to ****** the next day. SELL THE VAN!!!! Over an alternator, what kind of option is that!!!!! My husband asked if they applied any grease or lubricant to the bolts, or to get some of the build up off the bolts and try and was told "no, we just tried to remove using the tool and manually". Then after another 30 minutes, we were told that they got some gunk off, and now the battery was charging at "13-2" and with a new alternator it would be "14-6" and so we should be fine to get home. The battery light is now off.We left the Canadian Tire, and after 20 minutes, the battery light came back on and 10 minutes later, the van died on the side of the 401 E highway with our 3 small children inside. We had to call a tow truck and get home to ******* after we were told that the van was "ok" now. This was a horrible experience, the "mechanic" did not do basic things to attempt to get the bolts off and left us stranded and told "sell the van"
