I'm very angry with Bath Expert for not taking the
time to describe the materials that they chose
for me, nor were they willing to send me an email
describing their materials. Of course, sighted
people may not have this problem.
You may want to keep the following points in mind
when choosing this or any other contractor:
      1. The typical bathtub that Bath Expert chose for
me has lumbar support for those who enjoy lying
in the tub. I don't take baths, I only take
showers, so this feature is useless to me. The
tub also has a rough bottom to prevent
slipping. I'm not sure how comfortable that would be to sit in it.
      2. The single-handle **** **** ********* Pressure
Balancing faucet" that Bath Expert installed DOES
NOT control water pressure, or "water volume" as
it's now called. This faucet also produces a
lot of water pressure and therefore is very
loud. The handle only goes counter-clockwise
from cold to hot and then back again to
off. It's an utterly stupid faucet in my
opinion, and I'm now cursed with this faucet for
as long as I live in this condo. Bath Expert,
reluctantly, would replace it for an additional $1,000.
      3. The terminology that they use to describe the
materials can be ambiguous and deceiving. Be
sure you understand what you're getting.
      4. I believe Bath Expert may be limited to one
supplier and therefore they only have one bathtub style and one faucet style.
      5. Always be aware of new inventions. In other
words, never assume what you are getting is the
same as what you are accustomed to.
      6. If I were to complain about this contractor,
which complaint is typical of all contractors,
then it would be their GREED. Their philosophy
is, "time is money", and to such a philosophy
know that they will over charge you for every
little thing they do for you, if you choose to hire them.
You would be wise to keep these things in mind
when choosing Bath Expert or any other contractor.

We provided a quotation to customer based on what was asked, we asked if they wanted a shower conversion or to keep it as a tub shower, a tub is what they wanted. All shower and tubs come with some sort of anti slip on the bottom to prevent falling this is not something that was discussed as you only use as a shower not a bathtub. the majority of faucets in tubs and showers do not come with volume control and **** has used this system for many years with only tempurature control. The sound of the water flowing through the pipes is normal when in use. we provided you a quotation to remove the faucet wall and replace the system with an old **** system called ******** which does have volume control but this has been discontinued and is not easy to find stock anywhere on this. We deal with many suppliers in the city and have access to many different faucets but choose **** as it been a very well known quality product. As far as the last comment it will be taken as a grain of salt as yes i understand everything has become expensive today but price increases are reality in the last couple years.

The following is Bath Expert's response to my Review. My
rebuttal is mingled within their response. Note that "BE#:" denotes
Bath Expert's comments and "JP#:" denotes my rebuttal comments:

BE1: "We provided a quotation to customer based on what was
asked, We asked if they wanted a shower conversion or to keep it as
a tub shower, A tub is what they wan0ted."

JP1: I, not they, simply asked to have the bathtub faucet
replaced. Bath Expert quoted me a price for the exchange. I most
      sternly refused there greedy offer.

BE2: "All shower and tubs come with some sort of anti slip on the
bottom to prevent falling This is not something that was discussed
as you only use as a shower not a bathtub."

JP2: The fact that I only take showers and not baths was never
discussed, and it's for that reason the bathtub was never
discussed. If it was discussed, then I would have refused this
bathtub because I don't want a lumbar support in my tub. Secondly,
I'm sure there's a manufacture out there that makes bathtubs without
back supports AND anti-slip bottoms. Bath Expert makes you believe
that what they offer is the best for their customers. But when a
customer is disabled in some way, and can't confirm these things, we
end up trusting the contractor. And therein lies our stresses and anxieties.

BE3: "The majority of faucets in tubs and showers do not come with
volume control and **** has used this system for many years with only
      temperature control."

JP3: ***** and ******** ******** make conventional or typical single
handle, temperature and pressure controlled bathtub faucets. Again,
Bath Expert thinks that the **** Eva Posi-Temp faucet is most popular
and so that's what they give their customers. BUT! who knows if
other people are dissatisfied with this faucet as I am; I can't call
Bath Expert's customers to find that out now can I? Like the
bathtub, this facet was never discussed otherwise, I would have
      FLATLY refused it.

BE4: "The sound of the water flowing through the pipes is normal when in use."

JP4: The loud pressure sound comes out of the spout of the faucet,
not the pipes, and I'm sure the loud sound is an annoyance to my
      condo neighbours.

BE5: "We provided you a quotation to remove the faucet wall and
replace the system with an old **** system called ****trol which does
have volume control but this has been discontinued and is not easy to
      find stock anywhere on this."

JP5: More inaccuracies. According to Bath Expert's proposed
"Replacement" contract, they were offering me a "***** Lahara Monitor
17 Series Tub and Shower Faucet" at a price of $983.06 (including
materials and labour but not taxes). There was no way I was going
      to oblige their greed.

BE6: "We deal with many suppliers in the city and have access to
many different faucets but choose **** as it been a very well known
      quality product."

JP6: When BE visited my home we discussed replacement faucets, but
BE insisted that the **** they gave me was the most popular faucet
and were very reluctant to order a different make. Again, **** is
not, I repeat, IS NOT the only faucet manufacturer, but Bath Expert
      refused to discuss other faucets.

BE7: "As far as the last comment, it will be taken as a grain of
salt as yes I understand everything has become expensive today but
price increases are reality in the last couple years."

JP7: If someone were to purchase the material themselves at a
hardware store it would cost them approximately $1,000 for all
materials. BE, who gets their materials at a discounted price,
still charged me an additional $5,000 for labour, but with their
deceitful discount of 40%, I paid $3,000 for 6 hours of labour by 2
men. That's $250 an hour for each labourer. I call that greed.
