Toyota Roadside Assistance is a Scam – Don’t Fall for Their False Promises Since 2019, I’ve been paying for Toyota Roadside Assistance, never needing to use it—until last night. My low-mileage vehicle broke down in Aurora at 11:10 PM. When I called for assistance, I was shocked by their response: “We don’t have anyone available to help you. Lock your car and go home, or call a private towing company.” Toyota advertises 24/7 roadside assistance across North America, yet when I actually needed them, they were nowhere to be found. My family, including a newborn, was stranded in the cold for hours, and instead of the service I’ve been paying for, I had to rely on a private towing company. I finally got home at 1:50 AM—two and a half hours wasted, not to mention the frustration and stress. The worst part? Not even a basic apology. When you try to file a complaint, they drag you into an endless loop of red tape, hoping you’ll get frustrated and give up. This is how they operate—charging customers for a service they don’t actually provide and ignoring complaints. It’s disgraceful. Toyota, instead of focusing on squeezing every dollar out of customers with bogus services and hidden charges, maybe start delivering on your promises. Your management and board of directors need to wake up—people are paying for a service they expect to receive, not empty advertising slogans. To make things worse, my wife had taken this vehicle for service at Toyota Aurora on February 20th, less than a month ago. A well-maintained, low-mileage Toyota shouldn’t even be breaking down, yet here we are—dealing with a company that refuses to stand behind its own brand. I’m sharing this so others know the truth: Toyota Roadside Assistance is a scam. If you think they’ll be there when you need them, I want to make a complaint for every charges the did to me for services and also pay my towing and also have a higher supervisory authority how they charge, mislead people with zero quality services
