    Date of transaction: 1/2/2024. *** paid to business-$266.86. They committed to provide internet technical support. Dispute is they impersonated Best Buy's technical support when I called to explain I was on the Best Buy web page and wanted to purchase a membership. ***** told me to close the page and he would give me all of the instructions. I agreed and he went on to get my debit card info, my verbal and email agreement to the charge and installed Webroot on my two devices. Then I found out he was not with Best Buy he is with Geeks Worldwide Solutions. I told him I don't want that but he said it was too late they will not give me a refund. They are in ********** and do not offer 24/7 365 day support which is useless for me on the east coast because I need them after 8pm EST. **** in the billing department agreed to give me a $100 refund in 5-7 business days, but has not sent an email to that effect nor agreed to send a check in the mail as I cancelled the debit card they had my info from. My order # is GWSU *********. I want the $100 refund sent to me by a check in the mail and an email of their agreement to do it. I still don't feel it is fair, but I may be fortunate to get that much from them. Please see 2 pg document attached and see the fine print. I contacted them within 3 days of the transaction to request a refund.

    I have not received any information from Geeks Worldwide Solutions since they contacted me on or about January 9, **** by telephone. ******************************* told me that they could not issue a check for the promised refund of $100.00.  He asked me if I would accept a $100.00 gift card for Amazon. I told him yes that would be fine. He told me that I would receive further information by email. I have been checking my emails diligently and they have not followed through on their promise of an email to let me know about how I will receive the gift card. 


    I am definitely not satisfied with their response. I believe I was very accommodating to only ask for $100 within 72 hours of the transaction. Additionally, I have only been allowed to speak to the billing department once, very briefly. The billing department representative refused to give me his full name or a direct phone number to call him if I didn't get the promised refund. I have only been able to talk to the salesman, *****************************. He also has not contacted me again nor have I received any further emails.


    I would greatly appreciate it if you could please advocate for me with this company. They are quite difficult to work with and I wouldn't ever want to use their business again. I won't trust them with my banking information again, that's why I asked for a check in the mail. Again, if you could persuade them to arrange for the gift card, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    I just wanted to tell you that I received my $100.00 refund from Geeks Worldwide Solutions **** yesterday. Thank you so much for your assistance. I don't believe they would have ever responded if it had not been for the BBB. Please continue your great work!
