Date of transaction: July 29, 2022 Amount paid: Disputed amount is $585.00 plus tax, total amount was $2,149.88 plus tax. What the business committed to provide to you: Initial quote was for the installation (dig and set) of 12 fence posts ($779.88 +tax), plus the removal of the fence ($785 +tax). What the nature of the dispute is: We inquired about the price to replace one additional fence post (#13). Level Posts indicated to us that they needed a photo of the post in order to provide a quote. We forgot to send them a photo so when they arrived on-site they went ahead and replaced post #13. We agreed to pay via etransfer upon completion so the entire bill has been paid for. When we received the invoice, the cost to replace post #13 was listed at $585, which we feel is unreasonable and unfair considering no special equipment was used and it took the same amount of time as any of the other 12 posts to replace. Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem: At one point, Level Post agreed to a partial $200 refund to which we agreed to resolve the matter. Level Post requested that we sign a contract. I requested amendments to the contract as I did not feel that my rights were protected, at which point Level Post refused to discuss amendments. At which point I requested a full refund of $585, and they have not responded.
