I called this company on Nov/28/22 and got a quote of $220.00 to clean the eaves troughs at my home 124 Frank St. Strathroy. They were to be here around 11Am, They showed at 4 in the afternoon to do the job. They cleaned the troughs and applied Roofing Tar to a leaking corner seam and put about 4 screws into the trough to snug it to the wall in one spot. I got billed $418.00 and was told that applying the tar is a repair and that was $85.00. As well they charged me $20.00 surcharge for fuel to drive here from London. They were doing a second job in Strathroy as well as my home. I told the person on the phone about the leaking corner and he told me there might be a minimal charge for the repair? I have always thought that when you clean an eaves trough you automatically reseal any seams. My main problem is from being quoted $220.00 and then being charged $418.00. That is one hell of a difference. I called and asked about the charges and did not get a straight answer. They tried to say they use a special tar to seal the seems, I know that not to be true because I watched as they got the ROOFING TAR out of their truck. There is nothing special about it at all. I have already paid the bill and would like some of my money returned.

    Hi,

We are sorry to hear that Mr. **** ***** has to complain about one of our services, and we are glade to solve any misunderstanding with our customers.

Our record said that Mr. **** ***** called us on Nov26,2023 for cleaning eavestrough and fixing one leaking corner and for that service we charge $225.00 for cleaning, and $85.00 for each repairing corner, plus Minimum site visit and materials.

On Nov 28,2023 Our Technicians went there to do the job at (1** ***** *** *********) Thy reported that they did extra job for the customer, and the customer paid $400.00 Cash

this is what the tech report said (these is pic too)

    Nov 28
    Alex 3.30pm to 6.30pm = 3hrs
    *****:30-6:30=2hrs

    - clean the eavestrough
    - fix 2 corners (Apply two kind of leaking stopper)
    - secure the eavestrough back to the fascia with screws ( used 10 screws ) and fix two gutter brackets

    customer paid 400 cash

the tech forget to charge the customer for the extra work:

    - fixing 1 extra corner

    - - secure the eavestrough back to the fascia with screws ( used 10 screws ) and fix two gutter brackets

And the Customer agreed to pay $418.10 (include Tax) and in the attachment there is his signature on that price,  but then the customer gave the Tech $400.00 which was fine with us (-$18.00 Discount) which remove the gas surcharge charge away

Please see the attachment to see my point, after that was said we are happy to solve any misunderstanding

    Thanks
