    I have hired several in-home care companies over the course of the past 4+ years that my mother (living with dementia) has received 24/7 in-her-home care. I visit regularly, but live over 7 hours away from my mother. I need dependable, solid, reliable companies to care for her in my absence. I have seen and experienced a lot (good and bad) in this industry, so I speak with some knowledge. I added Vera Homecare to the care team 3 months ago. Currently, they provide 10-12 hours of daily care. Vera Homecare's providers have been true “earth angels” for my mother and a godsend for me. The company director is one of the nicest, most pleasant, happy and accommodating people I have ever met. He answers the phone, is accessible, easy to deal with, prompt, responsive, timely, compassionate, proactive, on-the-ball, collaborative and very knowledgeable. He listens, is highly flexible, makes great suggestions and follows through. He has been reachable at all hours. He took time to hire a team of care providers specific to my and my mother’s needs. I am thrilled with the consistent well-matched team of knowledgeable, compassionate, positive, energetic, attentive, highly-skilled ladies he assembled to provide all aspects of ADL (Activities of Daily Living) care for my mother in her home – cooking, cleaning, laundry, medication prompting, entertainment, socializing, outings, personal care, dressing, record keeping, regular contact with me, etc.. On several occasions and on rather short notice, he has been able to fill overnight shift gaps from the other care company. This is remarkable in today’s staff shortage situation! I find their fee rate to be more than competitive, and the owner consistently goes above-and-beyond with value add ons. I am forever grateful to this amazing team of people who help me (from a distance) ensure my mother is well cared for and has the best quality of life in her home. I highly recommend Vera Homecare.
