I originally contacted **** @ Johnston Brothers Moving on August 15, 2022. I booked with him a moving date of November 10, 2022 with 4 person crew and truck. $195.00/hour on August 18, 2022. We are moving from Talbot Village to Old Hazeldon in London.
**** told me I had to etransfer $500.00 Deposit to hold the staff and date of November 10, 2022. I etransferred the money same day.
I never received a contract to sign until I pestered him to send it to me which I signed back and emailed to him on September 20, 2022. I asked him to confirm receipt of contract and show I had already paid him $500.00 Deposit. No answer.
I have called, left messages, sent numerous texts, sent emails to no avail.
I demanded via email and text last night he refund me my $500.00 so that I can now find another moving company. No answer until a few minutes ago where he emailed and said I would get it back in the next 5-7 business days. This is unacceptable. He has used my money since August and had no intention of moving our belongings. He is a scam artist with an unreputable moving company. Why should I have to wait for reimbursement?
    Please help.

    Many thanks
