Had to get rid of an old fridge, and having used this service before with a washing machine, assumed it was similar. Over the phone, Metal Guy was rude to me for not knowing the protocols about fridge recycling (you need a licensed HVAC tech to empty Freon and tag it; or pay $30 and Metal Guy will do it). And abruptly cut me short when I said the fridge was at the curb, although it was easily moved closer to the house.
Piece of customer service advice: educate! Assume your client does not know any better, and explain yourself without being condescending or boastful about your “award-winning service.” This will ensure not only repeat business because the client feels respected, but will also ensure the service is recommended to others.
Personally, I’m not so sure I would recommend it.

Hi thier I'm not sure how our team was rude. But when a customer previously uses our service they have already been told how we operate. With that being said you did place it at the curb knowing the protocol and gave us a hard time about it you then moved it called us back and we did a flawless job as well as disposed of your refrigerant properly. We're sorry you did not follow the same protocol as before and had to move your fridge. Our team would never be rude to any customer and we can hold our reputation to it. We appreciate the feedback but we do feel it's unfair based on not following previous instructions from using our service before.Review fromDave M
