    My wife dropped her ****** ***** * Pro and cracked the screen. In July 2024, I called around to different stores and when I spoke to Mobile Surgeon staff, I was quoted 2 prices:
    $160 for a 3rd party screen or $300 for the OEM screen.
    We decided to pay for the OEM screen, as we'd heard stories about 3rd party screens being unreliable.
    In mid-July, we went to Pacific Mall and I spoke to the staff member who confirmed that the screen would be OEM. I gave them cash, so no tax was charged and no paper receipt was given either. They stated that the transaction would be recorded in their computer should there be a problem in the future.
    The screen was replaced and in the beginning, we believed that it was an OEM part.
    However, after having the new screen for over a month and a half, it was obviously NOT an OEM part. Swiping in the photo app, there would be noticeable dimming/brightening. As well, scrolling on the internet would produce black lines in random places.
    If we had chosen to go with a 3rd party screen and pay less, we would have been okay with the issues, but the fact that this business is passing 3rd party parts as OEM ** * ****.
    We had the offending screen removed and it has been confirmed by other cell phone repair places that the screen is an aftermarket part. ***** ** *** ************* ***. The shop who fixed it did not use an original screen. The aftermarket screen they used on your phone cost them roughly $52.9* ******** ***** ****** ****. what you have pictured is the cheapest aftermarket screen ************ sells.

    In the future, I would be willing to pay more for OEM parts.
