    I ordered a water pillow & pillow cover on May 12, 2023. Pillow covers are non-refundable and pillows have a 30-day trial period for a full refund. I provided them with photos of a damaged seam on the pillow protector when I opened the package. They expected me to pay for shipping to return a damaged product to them in order to receive a replacement pillow cover. I refused since I am not responsible for receiving something in damaged condition. After many emails back and forth, they finally sent me a replacement pillow cover. When I opened the water pillow, it was off-gassing an absolutely horrible odour that you could smell from a great distance. Although I allowed it to air near an open window with fresh air and a fan, it took a few weeks for the odour to dissipate enough that I could actually try sleeping on the pillow. In the meantime, the odor caused side effects to my health since I am chronically ill and very sensitive to strong odours. They tell you to allow yourself time to adjust to the pillow and to find the suitable water level for your comfort as you experiment with it. By the time the pillow stopped off-gassing, I did not have a chance to properly test it because I had unexpected eye surgery with a painful recovery period that did not allow me to lie flat. My vision was so blurry that I could not see to read or drive, etc. Once I recovered, I did test the pillow and it caused me significant pain. I requested the opportunity to return it after the 30-day window and explained the extenuating circumstances of the horrible off-gassing odour & surgery that prevented me from dealing with a return & driving to a post office. I informed them that I have severe chronic illnesses and live alone. I find it unacceptable that they refuse to give me a refund in this situation and feel discriminated against based on disability. I would like a full refund for the pillow & unopened pillow protector because the protector is useless if the pillow does not work for me.
